The buzzing of his cell phone woke Matt from a deep sleep. Text messages from Jenna came through. The last one immediately caught his eye. He jumped out of bed, waking Casey in the process.

"What is it?" She asked in a panic.
"It's Jenna. She's in trouble."
"How do you know?"
Matt showed her his phone. Casey was out of bed throwing on a pair of jeans in seconds.
"I'll wake the others." She said, hurrying out of the room.

They were all dressed and gathered in the living room within minutes. The time was 10:00. They were on edge. Any hope that this was all going to be nothing was gone with that one text from Jenna: PROBLEM AT MY OFFICE.

Between Gavin and Sam missing and that text message, this was now the biggest threat they've had in years. And still, nothing was proven yet, just a lot of unanswered questions.

"So she sent that text." Shannon said. She was the only one unconvinced that it meant trouble. "That could mean anything."
"It's Jenna." Sierra reminded her. "She isn't texting that there's a problem unless there really is one."
"Okay." Tyler said. "Say there is a problem, we're four hours away. Whatever was going to happen probably happened already."

"We just got to hope she handled it and she's okay." Matt offered.
"She hasn't responded since she texted you." Casey reminded him.
"I know, Case." He replied, irritated. The fact that he was so far away was eating him up. He felt helpless.

It wasn't annoyance at her, just the situation, and Casey understood that. She rested her head on his arm. She knew he took every death of their friends and put it on himself. Amy, Bill, Gab, and Shaun. It was a tough burden to bear, but he didn't it anyway, so they didn't have to.

They loaded up some gear into Matt's suped up Ford Bronco. It was a three seater so everyone fit comfortably. Tyler put fresh clips in all the rifles, Phil did the same with the hand guns.
"Guys, remember, this could still be nothing." Matt said.
"She wouldn't have texted that, dad. You know that." Tyler replied. "She was scared of something." He added, quietly.

"Jenna doesn't get scared." Phil said, to no one in particular.
"If nothing else it made us get up here quicker and check on Sam and Gavin." Shannon said.
This they all agreed on.

They started the drive back to the area they came from. They would head to Jenna's office in the city first, then head to Sam and Gavin's house.
The four hour drive took Matt just over three. It was now a little after 3:30 in the morning. The city streets were pretty much empty. Matt parked right out front of the high rise main entrance.

They concealed their fire arms the best they could. They all knew the old security guard, Boyd. He was in his mid seventies and not exactly enthusiastic about his job working the graveyard shift. He wouldn't give them a problem about going up to see Jenna, no matter what time it was. As they exited the truck they all looked up to the top of the skyscraper.

Boyd saw them approaching through the glass windows and slowly made his way to the entrance. A big smile formed on his face as he saw it was Jenna's friends. He loved Jenna. She was always at the office late so she made small talk with the lonely man often. She would tease him and flirt with him in typical Jenna fashion, and Boyd would eat it up.

He unlocked the door.
"Matthew Michaels, it has been a while!" Boyd said, enthusiastically.
"Hey Boyd." Matt replied. "We're here to see Jenna. Is it okay if we go up?"
"Kind of late isn't it?" He replied.
"Business knows no time, Boyd." Matt replied.
"Head on up." He told them. "Hell, I've been keeping myself awake so I can see Jenna come down. Best part of my shift!"
