The next month was a whirlwind of activity for the group. They hadn't needed to change much of anything since the incident at the Nest. Now, they all needed to make changes. Moves needed to be made and life decisions were on the horizon.

Matt and Casey moved back to Matt's old house in Maple Brook full time. It would bring him closer to Tyler and Casey closer to Sam, who she missed dearly. Any thoughts on an enemy knowing about their Maple Brook home just didn't bother them anymore. There was nobody they couldn't take on should another threat pop up.

Phil was bummed about losing his cabin in Virginia, but he got the next best thing: Matt's Pocono cabin. A place where the friends had many memories, good and bad, but mostly good. He and Shannon were officially together, and to the rest of the group it was about time.
Phil was just what Shannon needed- someone who would treat her like a queen, but would also give her space when she needed it. She was okay living at the cabin as long as Phil agreed to also buy a house in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She needed the warm weather and beaches in the summer time.

Tyler, Sierra, Gavin and Sam stuck to their plan to keep Jenna's legacy alive. They would run Walker Industries together, expanding and working alongside top government officials for the nation's defense. Tyler and Gavin would stay as close as any two brothers could ever be.

As for Lexi? Well, much to everyone's surprise she was taken in by Shannon and Phil, with Shannon taking on the mentor role. She trained Lexi to become a fierce fighter. Was it the guilt of being the one who killed her parents? Maybe a little, but she developed mother like feelings for the little girl, despite trying to hide it. And Lexi softened up and gradually became part of the group, part of their family.

They all restocked their arsenals. They wouldn't make the mistake of letting their guard down again. Sure it took thirteen years for another threat to arise, but it did, and it cost Jenna her life. If anyone ever tried to come at them again, they would be ready.

A strange thing happened in the days following the war in the woods. Matt, who was brought back to life by Tyler's blood, began to develop the same powers his son had. This had been what Walker suspected would happen. Now, like Tyler, Matt too could only be killed by one weapon. The dagger. He developed the power to heal immediately. What other abilities he would develop was a wait and see.

After a lengthy meeting with the others, they all decided it would be best if they all went through the transformation. So one by one they did. None of them wanted to ever be without their significant other, or see anybody in the group meet an unfortunate end. So now, aside from the dagger, they were immortal, for lack of a better word.

Shannon had not let Lexi go through the transformation yet. She felt she was too young and had too much to learn. She said that one day, she would be ready.

What was in store for Tyler was anyone's guess. Maybe it was like he thought. Maybe one of the people he had saved over the years would be the ones to save the world one day. Maybe it wasn't on him at all. He would keep doing his part. And his family, the Chosen Ones, would always have his back.
