Drowned in the fuzzy background
My gaze struggles to find solid ground
It's all blurry, familiar faces surround
Adrift in a sea of unfamiliar sound
In their chatter and laughter all is drowned
On the back seat, I sit, on my own
I stare at their worn-out faces
Their features remain unknown, I follow the traces
Unfamiliarity lingers in their tone
Yet a sense of familiarity I've known
Reality distorted, hazy, I must be going crazy
Gray and misty, leaving me dizzy
Amidst these strangers' piercing gaze you glance my way
In my eyes, a knowing smile you convey
One by one the unfamiliar becomes known
And one by one the familiar becomes unknown
In this room my life is constrained
A room full of blurred faces unknown, unnamed
In a sea of nameless faces, I stand
Yet no one's face I recognize, it's blank and bland
Familiar faces yet unfamiliar gazes
I struggle to piece together the traces
Overwhelmed, confused and lost
I am not alone yet lonely I'm tossed
This room is a maze, with faces unfound
In a crowded room I feel bare and unsound
Invisible I feel among the crowd
Unfamiliar gazes follow around, voices are drowned
In a room full of noise I'm bound
Yet alone amidst the crowd
My existence feels lost
I'm nothing but a forgotten dot.
