It Cannot Be Helped

The clock keeps ticking, the world keeps moving
You feel like you're being left behind,
And yet you can't seem to find the will
To do anything about it, to catch up, to find some inspiration,
To get going again, to start fresh once more,
To make up for lost time, to be the best version of yourself,
To make those dreams come true.

The days keep passing, the weeks become months,
You feel like you're sinking deeper into the quicksand,
With each step you take, it seems to pull you in more,
And you fear that soon it'll be too late,
That you'll be forever lost, that you'll never get back on track,
But still you let it happen, you watch it slip through your fingers,
And you wonder why you don't do anything about it, why you're just letting it happen.

The months become years, and you feel like a ghost,
A shell of your former self, someone you don't even recognize anymore,
Someone who's forgotten who they are, who they want to be,
Who's lost all their passion, their drive, their motivation,
And yet you still can't find it in you to make a change,
To turn it all around, to take back control,
To live the life you've always wanted, the life you deserve.

But the truth is you can change it, you can do something about it,
You can start today, you can start right now,
You can take those first steps towards the life you want,
The one that's waiting for you, the one where you're thriving,
Where you're happy, where you're fulfilled,
Where you're not just surviving but truly living.

So don't let the clock keep ticking, the world keep moving,
Don't let the quicksand keep pulling you in deeper,
Don't let it all pass you by,
Don't let yourself slowly lose your self,
Because at the end of the day, it's all up to you,
It's all in your hands,
It's your life, and you deserve to live it to the fullest.
