A few months passed and Lesley was in her 9th month. She was scheduled to give birth in 2 weeks. During those months of waiting, she was just at the Vance household as she didn't get her legal papers immediately like her grandma promised. Her legal papers arrived a couple of weeks back and only then they started buying baby stuff and setting up the room. 

Originally, her child had her own bedroom but Lesley requested that the child stay in her room until such time that she could sleep on her own.

One random day, while they were redesigning her room, her parents and Harley arrived to surprise her. They knocked at the door and they made sure that she would be the one who opened it.

Surprise! Her parents and Harley greeted her. Lesley was too stunned to react as she couldn't believe her eyes. Lesley started tearing up and hugged her family. Mom... dad... Harley! I missed you so much! Then she looked at Harley and was surprised that Harley grew a few inches up. You're finally catching up to my height! Then she hugged Harley.

And I'll be taller than you soon! Just wait. 

Lesley giggled and they group hugged once more. 

The extreme emotions that Lesley currently felt have led to her water breaking.

M-mom? I think my water broke! Lesley's announcement made everyone panic and they all rushed her to the hospital. While they were all inside the car, they were all laughing because instead of surprising Lesley, they were the ones surprised by her water breaking.

Upon reaching the emergency room, Lesley was immediately transferred to a Private VIP delivery room where she could roam freely while laboring. They also hand-picked the best nurses and doctors in the hospital to monitor her labor and also availed the water birth package.

They were closely monitoring Lesley's cervical dilation. Surprisingly, the dilation of her cervix is fast.

After more than 7 hours of laboring, the contractions finally started. How are you feeling? Her adoptive mother asked. A bit uncomfortable, mom. My lower back and my hips kinda hurt. She explained.

Her adoptive mother gave her a faint smile and comforted her, That's completely normal. That's the same thing that I felt when I was about to give birth to Fred and Harley. That pain is just temporary, but the joy of seeing your child is priceless. Then she caressed Lesley's jet-black hair.

The portable pool was already filled with warm water, and all other equipment was within reach. The doctors and nurses asked Fred, Harley, their father, and grandfather to leave the room first as Lesley was in labor.

They assisted her in stepping into the pool and telling her to breathe in and out. Lesley was already in pain and she just wanted this to get over with. She was sitting on the corner of the portable pool while holding her adoptive mother's hand. Mom... is it really this hard? Is it really this painful? Tears started pooling in her eyes.
