Chapter 9: Family Ties

Damien was worried about Mars. He noticed the warlock stayed in his room for days. The Hunter kept checking on his family member. His Ghost told him to give up and just wait, but he didn't listen.

He went to noddle shop, and saw Ikora.

"Hey Ikora. Have you talk to Mars?"

"No. He's still in his mood. I just let it pass over and he will come around."

"Was he always like this?"

She nodded briefly.

"I say Warlock intuition, by he might becoming this way."

Both of them turned around and saw Mars walking towards them.

"Don't say anything." Ikora muttered quietly

Mars walked passed them, nodding to them and went to the noddle shop. They watched him get in line.

"See, let him come to you."

Damien smiled a bit.

"Thanks Ikora."

"Don't mention it. I'm still learning him too."

"Ikora, can we talk?"

Both of them looked and saw Mars standing in front of them with a bowl of noodles.

"Sure."

"I let you two talk."

Damien walked away.

"What do you think they going talk about?"

"I'm not sure, but it looked important."

The hunter walked over to Zavala.

"Commander."

"Damien, the hunter I wanted to see."

"Oh really?"

"Yes. I have a mission for you."

Damien nodded.

"I need you to investigate, Mars."

"How come?" Damien was shocked that Zavala asked him to that

The Commander sighed.

"I heard word that he's involved with Mara Sov."

"He is."

Zavala stood there stunned.

"Theirs something else."

"What is it?"

"I heard he's trying to get Savathûn's worm."

"Why would he need that?"

"That's for you to find out."

Damien nodded and walked away.

"Why was you talking to Zavala?"

The hunter jumped when he saw the warlock.

"Mars...He gave me a mission."

"Oh. What's the mission?"

Damien bit his lip and looked away.

"He can't tell you. It's top secret." Phantom said, appearing out of nowhere

Mars wished Damien good luck on his mission and walked away. Damien took a breath.

"We should go to Mara Sov." Phantom suggested

"Do you think she will tell him?"

"Maybe, but it's worth a try."

Damien sighed but agreed with his ghost. They went to the hangar, so they can go to the dreaming city.
