I arrived at my office with a sense of frustration lingering in my mood, the simmering anger palpable. As I entered, heads turned, and a hush fell over the entire office. Making my way to my private lift, I pressed the button for the 40th floor where my cabin awaited. Stepping inside, what greeted me only fueled my rage further: the space was overrun with bouquets  and a card bearing well wishes for a marriage.

"Rajiv!" I bellowed, my voice carrying the weight of my anger.

"Yes, sir, you called?" Rajiv appeared promptly, his demeanor tense.

"What is this?" I gestured toward the flowers, irritation etched across my features.

"These are flowers, sir," Rajiv replied, almost as if stating the obvious.

"And by the way, sir, congratulations on your wedding to Riddhima ma'am," he added, further stoking my ire.

"I'm well aware these are flowers stupid," I retorted sharply. "And as for congratulations, I'm not married Riddhima; I'm married to her sister, Kiana." I could see Rajiv was taken aback by my revelation.

"But, sir, you were supposed to—" Rajiv began, but I cut him off mid-sentence.

"For now, focus on this," I interrupted. "Clean up this mess, and keep it quiet. No one needs to know about this drama. I want my cabin back to its original state, devoid of this sickly sweet aroma."

"Who brought these bouquets?" I demanded, fixing him with a penetrating stare.

"One bouquet is from me, sir. The rest were brought by Aditya, sir," he replied, further fueling my irritation. This insolent fool seemed to derive pleasure from provoking me. I made a mental note to address this with him; it seemed he was eager to test my patience to its limits.

"And what about our consignment? How is it progressing?" I inquired, shifting to business matters with a stern tone.

"Sir, everything is on track. Aditya sir has overseen everything, and it will be delivered by tomorrow," Rajiv assured me confidently, earning a sly grin from me.

Atleast Adi did the work properly!

As I couldn't stand the overpowering scent of flowers any longer, I decided to retreat to my personal villa adjacent to my cabin. Once there, I finally found some respite in the tranquil surroundings.

Curious about Aditya's whereabouts, I attempted to call him, but he declined—twice. It was unusual; he never ignored my calls. Maybe he is with Naira.

Just then, my phone rang, displaying a familiar name that brought a smile to my face.

"Hello," I greeted with newfound happiness.

"Hi, handsome, how are you?" It was Kavya, my childhood friend, we both were bestfriends.

"Kavu, how are you?" I replied, joy evident in my voice.
