Five Years Later

I was deep in a video conference, finalizing a business deal with Abhimanyu Arora—another business tycoon who dominates the business world just like me. The man has an insane IQ and is quite intriguing. As I wrapped up the deal, I heard a loud thud. Looking up from my laptop, I saw Kiana standing there, my tigress, angry and pissed off. Her eyes locked on me, and I knew instantly—someone is in trouble.

"Jaan, I'm done with Rian!" Kiana snapped, glaring at our son, who stood there with his usual stoic expression, silent as ever. Rian takes after me—cold, composed, and nearly impossible to read. He doesn't talk much, doesn't have many friends, and excels in his studies. Chess is his passion, and he's won several trophies. He's also been learning French, constantly seeking new challenges. Rian is well-mannered and never acts out unless he deems it absolutely necessary.

"What did he do, tigress?" I asked, walking over to them and ruffling Rian's hair, giving him a look of sympathy.

"What did he do? He hit a boy, and now his teacher's complaining!" Kiana fumed, her eyes narrowing at Rian.

I glanced at him, raising a brow.

"Dad, je n'ai aucun remords de l'avoir frappé," Rian shrugged.

(Dad, I have no remorse for hitting him.)

Kiana's fury only deepened.

At that moment, a small figure came running toward me, crying. I picked her up in my arms—our baby tigress, Kaira. She's the apple of everyone's eye. If Kiana is my heart, then Rian and Kaira are my heartbeat. Without them, I'm nothing.

When Kaira was born, I handled the situation much better than I had with Rian. I was calm and composed, but my happiness was just as immense. Kaira is the complete opposite of Rian—she's fragile, while Rian is like a rock. Kaira is our little chatterbox, filling our home with joy. Whenever she goes to Axel's house, the silence drives me mad. These two have filled our lives with meaning.

"Who made Kaira cry?" I asked, wiping her tears and cradling her. Her nose was red, her little lips quivering as she wrapped her arms around my neck.

"Dadda, bhai hit An...Andrew," she sobbed, and I glanced at Kiana in confusion. Who the hell is Andrew, and why is my daughter crying over him?

"I was shooo happy when Andrew gave me flowers, but bh-bhai hit him!" she cried, sniffling.

I felt a wave of anger surge through me. Who the hell is giving flowers to my daughter?

"Who the f—" I began, but Kiana cut me off with a warning glare.

"Language!" she hissed, and I nodded, though my blood was boiling.

"Whose son is giving flowers to my daughter?" I growled, clenching my jaw.

"Dadda, it's Andrew! You know, Any is sho good. He plays with me!" Kaira said, her wide eyes shining as she spoke about this "Andrew" with such innocence.
