Chapter 37: Stefan?
It had been three months since Stefan's disappearance and Aurora was losing her mind.
She had been looking for him ever since he had not come back that night but it was like he disappeared in a puff of smoke.
The worst part was no one seemed to care, Caroline was busy with planning for college, Bonnie was on vacation with her mum, Matt was with Rebekah travelling around the world, Tyler was helping wolf packs and Elena and Damon were busy messing around with each other to actually care.
Aurora had asked the ancestors for help but they didn't make a difference.
Sheriff Forbes started an investigation to help the angel but there was no point, if Aurora couldn't find him how would a human?.
"Come on Aurora, you need a break, and you need to come to Whitmore." Caroline said through the phone
"No, Care, I can't. Stefan wouldn't leave me like that. he wouldn't" she refused
"But what if he did-"
"He wouldn't!, there was no reason to, everything was starting to look up. He wouldn't leave it behind"
Caroline sighed deeply, she was worried about Aurora but if Klaus disappeared like that she would do the same. So she said goodbye and hung up the phone leaving Aurora to her investigation.

Elena and Caroline had already settled in Whitmore but Aurora stayed back, no way she was moving on when Stefan could be in danger. All summer she had this pit feeling in her stomach that something was wrong with him and she's never wrong.
Klaus, Kol and Elijah tried to help but they all failed, they did try their best which Aurora knew but there was not a single trace of him anywhere.
Today Aurora was searching Stefan's room in the Boarding house (again) to make sure she didn't miss anything.
As she was opening books and rustling through papers, Damon came in.
"You are never going to give up, are you?" he asked
"At least I'm doing something, he's your brother and you're not doing shit" she spat
Damon scoffed at her "He is fine, trust me, it's not the first time"
"But why would he leave, he had everything here, did I do something" she said holding back tears
Sighing, Damon walked up to her and hugged her and she started crying into his chest "Why would he leave, D?"
"I don't know" he breathed out

Aurora sat in the living room of the Salvatore Boarding house with a glass of bourbon in her hand. She had been telling Damon about what she had done to find his brother but they led to nothing.
"So if Stefan comes back, you're going to Whitmore?" he asked
"Maybe, I've been to college countless of times but Caroline would Kill me if I don't" she smiled
"Anyways, how's it going with you and Elena?"
"It's great, I'm glad she's back to her normal self"
"Thanks to me" Aurora smiled widely
Jeremy then soon came into the house dropping his school bag on the floor.
"I'm so tired" he complained
"And?" Damon asked
Jeremy just rolled his eyes and waved at Aurora who waved back.
"I need to go, I'm going to drop by to the police station to see if Liz found anything" she got up and took her bag, said her byes to the two boys and drove to the town square.
"Please tell you found something" she asked hopefully
"Sorry Aurora but I've still got nothing" Liz said bringing her hopes down
"It's fine, thanks for helping though I really appreciate it" she plastered a fake smile and turned to leave when she did her smile dropped and she walked back to her car and laid her head on the wheel.

"So Caroline, Bonnie, Katherine, Hayley and Elena will be the bridesmaid. Rebekah will be my maid of honour. Klaus and Kol would walk me down the aisle and Elijah will officiate the wedding" Aurora told Stefan "You're best man will obviously be Damon and he will also officiate the wedding, Klaus and Kol would be your groomsmen"
"Since it's in June, we have about ten months which is a good amount of time" she then looked to Stefan
"Are you even listening?" she asked as he was staring at her
"Yeah" he replied
"Then tell me which Mikaelson is one of the officiates of our wedding?" she quizzed
"Klaus" he guessed confidently
Aurora smacked his arm "Seriously, Stef, this is our wedding day!"
"Sorry but when you put your hair behind your ears when you are really concentrating is so adorable" he complimented
"You always notice the smallest details about me, don't you?"
"It's hard not to"

A voice woke her up from her sleep, the voice belonged to Klaus.
"Aurora, this room is a mess" he criticised
She had fallen asleep in a pile of Stefan's journals and the room had other papers and files lying around about Stefan's ripper days
"I know, I'll clean it up" she yawned
"You said that last week, and last month" he reminded
"Yeah I said I will, not now though" she got up and went down to her kitchen with Klaus following behind
"You need to stop looking, he obviously doesn't want to be found" Klaus said
"Or he does want to but something or someone is stopping him" she added
When making her coffee the doorbell rang, giving Klaus one last look she headed for the door.
When she opened it she almost screamed, standing in the doorway was Stefan. Stefan Salvatore, the man she had been looking for for the past three months.
