Chapter 39: Where's the memories gone?

Aurora smiled gratefully at her and looked down at Stefan, she reached to fix his hair when he gasped awake.

Aurora got up from the sofa and smiled widely "Stefan!"

"It's good to see you brother" Damon said

Stefan looked at them confused "I'm sorry, I don't know who you people are?"

"What?" Aurora asked confused

"I don't know who you are" he repeated

"What do you mean, Stefan it's me" Aurora said walking towards him, he just looked at her confusion written on his face

"Stefan, stop joking around" Damon said

Stefan just stared at them confused "Guys I don't think he's joking" Aurora told them

Sighing, Damon walked to Stefan and asked a question "When were we turned and by who?"

"I don't know" he answered

"Why doesn't he remember anything?" Elena asked

"It's probably because of the spell Qestsiyah performed" Damon said

"Well what are we going to do about it?"

"Leave it to me"

"Tell us that we weren't out of our mind leaving Damon in charge of vampire amnesia 101" Aurora groaned to Caroline on the phone while Elena sat next to her

"What did he say exactly?" Caroline asked

"One text. "So far, so good"

"Which in Damon speak-"

"-They probably devoured Girl Scouts"

"Caroline" she scolded

"I'm kidding!. Although it's not uncommon for patients with retrograde amnesia, or other brain injuries, to turn volatile"

"Okay Dr Forbes, since when did you know so much about amnesia?" she asked laughing

"It's possible I've studied up on my Chem, bio-Chem, applied micro-bio, molecular bio, Grey's Anatomy. The real one and the tv show!"

"And who did you do all that for?" she asked

"I wanted to impress Dr. Maxfield. I figured I could get closer to him, i.e., into his biology class. I may figure out why he covered up our roommates murder-by-vampire. And it's also possible that I have a study buddy" She added

"Are you ready Jesse!"

Elena took the phone from Aurora with a smirk "Jesse? Dr. Maxfield's incredibly hot, funny and miraculously single lab assistant"

"I'm dragging him to our hometown graveyard bell-ringing ceremony"

"As in, creepy first date?"

"As in a study date!" she corrected "And while I'm there I might as well ring a bell for Klaus and me considering our relationship is on it's deathbed" she sighed

Caroline and Klaus had been drifting apart and she was upset about it, she missed him but he was always somewhere with Elijah probably killing someone

"Will I see you guys there, Aurora, you could bring Stefan. It is ironically called Remembrance day" she suggested

Elena gave the phone back to Aurora "I hope so. Depends how Stefan's handling the download of his dark story past"

"Alright, well talk to you later, love you!"
