Chapter 46

Chapter 46: New Orleans

The phone buzzed and Aurora slowly stirred awake groaning. She reached her hand out to get her phone which kept buzzing but her eyes just didn't want to open.

Forcefully, she opened her eyes and squinted to see the name Katherine displayed on her phone. Silently cursing the doppelgänger she answered the phone to hear her distressing voice coming from the speaker.

Apparently, Katherine found a thick piece of her hair on her bed meaning her hair is falling out. She was talking with a lot of panic so Aurora couldn't really hear what she was saying except for the hair situation. Because of this she promised the vampire she'd come over and help her out.

Hanging up the phone Aurora turned around and stared at Stefan. She took in every texture and detail of his face and smiled. Then her wedding popped up in her thoughts, it was October and their wedding was eight months away. Not even half of the wedding is planned but thanks to Caroline some bits are.

Caroline convinced Aurora to have it in June, she helped her pick the venue and the food. They were still looking for bridesmaid dresses and her own wedding dress. The invitations weren't finished and the groom's side hadn't even started yet.

A negative idea passed through her head- what if they cancel the wedding?.
The thought left her brain as fast as it came in. No way were they cancelling it. Aurora had always dreamed of getting married to the love of her life and it had finally come true.

Her phone buzzed again and Aurora cursed loudly this time causing Stefan to wake up.
"Sorry" she apologised

"What's wrong?" Stefan asked

"Katherine wants me to come over, she's desperate for my help" she groaned

He chuckled "Katherine Pierce, desperate for someone's help? Never thought I'd see the day."

"Don't be rude" she laughed, getting up and putting his shirt on "Ugh I don't even know what to wear. The clothes I have here are so over worn" she complained

"Just wear my shirt. It looks good on you"

Aurora raised her eyebrow "Really? Then I'll just keep it"

"Uh no, it's my favourite shirt" he denied leaning against the bed frame.

"Well, unless you get up you can't have it." she teased

Stefan narrowed his eyes "I know what you're doing."

"Really what?"

He sped out of bed and got dressed quickly so when Aurora had a clear vision of him he was dressed but with no shirt on.

"At least I tried"

"Okay Kath, what's up" Aurora had made it to the house Katherine was staying in.

Katherine came to her dressed in exercise clothes "I am ageing really fast, so I need you to train me so I can slow things down"

"Kat, this ageing is not human ageing, it's supernatural. Nothing's gonna help" Aurora reminded

"At least help me, you've literally done nothing to find a solution" Katherine said rolling her eyes

"Katherine, do you think I like seeing my friend slowly but quickly die? It's not just hard on you, when you're gone I'll still be here"

"Whatever, let's forget this, I'm paying Matt to help as well. Come on"

They walked out to Katherines' car, when she started to drive somehow they ended up almost crashing into a tree. This led Aurora to drive to the woods.
