After arriving to the police station with Jon and Nance, I sat in my Dad's office and put my feet up on the desk. I put my head in my hands, and groaned. How did all of this shit happen?

After thirty minutes or so, my dad returned to the station with Mrs. Byers. I went to the front office to meet him. Upon just seeing him, tears welled in my eyes, and I hugged him tightly. I wish he had known everything I'd seen in the past few days, but I wouldn't have known where to start.

"I'm so sorry, kid." He mumbled.

"It's okay. I'm sorry, Dad." I apologized too.

"W-what are you sorry for, kid?" Dad asked me.

"I should've stayed, I should've told you everything." I cried.

"It's okay. It's okay." He patted my head as confusion painted his face.

"Hey. Jonathan? Jesus, what happened?" Joyce rushed to Jonathan, worried.

Jon looked stoic and embarrassed. "I'm fine."

"Why is he wearing handcuffs?" Joyce's face contorted and anger grew visibly in her expression.

"Well, your boy assaulted a police officer. That's why." Callahan said. I rubbed my forehead in embarrassment and sighed.

"Take them off." Joyce demanded.

"I am afraid I cannot do that." Callahan stated, crossing his arms.

"Take them off!" Joyce now yelled.

"You heard her. Take 'em off." Dad barked. I raised my brows at his demands. I didn't know he liked Mrs. Byers that much.

"Chief, I get everyone's emotional here, but there's something you need to see." Powell interrupted.

"What is this?" Dad looked down at the box of our... monster-hunting gear.

"Why don't you ask your daughter? We found it in her friend's car."I looked down at the ground, ashamed. Yeah, I've got a lot to tell him.

"What?" He stared at me.

"Why are you going through my car?" Jonathan yelled. He looked very annoyed, but it was the police, and they did have probable cause to search...

"Is that really the question you should be asking right now? I wanna see you in my office." Dad looked at Jonathan. I have a hunch it would go better if he talked to me, but Jonathan is what he wants, and I don't feel like arguing with my father.

"You won't believe me." Jonathan looks at him with his usual brooding look, which made me roll my eyes.

" Why don't you give me a try?" Dad said softly.

"You say blood draws this thing?" Dad says. He looks surprisingly serious, and I'm relieved he believes us, but a part of me is worried that he is only doing so because he's had an encounter with the thing.

"We don't know." I look at the ground

"It's-"

"Just a theory." Nancy finishes Jonathan's sentence.

Dad gets up, and Jonathan goes into the hallway with his mom, and Nancy stays seated. Dad walks into the other room, dealing with an argument Callahan is having with some mother. I turn to Nancy, and decide to break the silence.

"So, you and Jon?" I suggest.

"No, no. Ther- it's nothing." She nervously stutters. I stare at her with my eyebrows raised, giving her a 'you sure?' look. She then changed her answer, "Okay. Maybe I have a little thing for him. He's pretty great." I nod.

"Nance, I support you, but watch yourself. You've been... a bit flirty, and while Steve is the biggest asshole ever, he deserves to know. You need to end things before you go through with this." She nodded this time, and I put my hand on hers. Suddenly, Dad barged back into his office, and grabbed his keys off the counter.

"Dad?" I stood up.

"We need to go. Now." He said, leading us all to his car. We piled into the back, and we drove to a spot near the Wheeler's house, and outside were a few cars with agents lining the streets, armed and in suits. I frowned and looked over at Nancy, who looked increasingly nervous.
