Riyan and Shri walked through the bustling corridors of Guwahati's Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, their bags packed and their minds buzzing with excitement. They had spent two weeks exploring the beautiful state of Assam, and now it was time to bid farewell to the region and Riyan's family and head to Shri's hometown in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
Mithoo, with a warm smile, wrapped her arms around Shri's waist.
Mithoo: Beta, take care of yourself ,We'll miss you so much.
Shri hugged her back tightly.
Shri: I'll be back soon Muma, and I'll make sure to send you lots of pictures and updates.
she promised.
Mithoo hugged riyan and gave him a kiss on the cheek
Mithoo: take care beta
Riyan: hn muma
As they finished their formal goodbyes, Mithoo and Parag led Riyan and Shri to the security checkpoint. The air was thick with the scent of coffee and tea wafting from the nearby café as they walked.
At the security gate, Riyan's parents gave them one last hug. Mithoo pressed a small packet of homemade cookies into Shri's hands.
Mithoo: jab tumhare dusre Ghar ki yaad aaye to ye kha Lena beta
she whispered.
Shri smiled, feeling a lump form in her throat. She tucked the packet into her bag and hugged mithoo again.
As they parted ways, Mithoo and Parag watched riyan and Shri disappear into the crowd, their hearts heavy with sadness but also filled with pride and hope for their future together.
Mithoo: Arre, we should go now
Mithoo said, wiping her tears that hd formed at the corner of her eyes
Parag nodded, putting his arm around her shoulders.
Parag: han chalo, We have a lot to catch up on.
Together, they walked out of the airport, lost in their own thoughts as they made their way back to their life in Guwahati
As they approached the departure gate, Riyan turned to Shri with a curious expression.
Riyan: So, what's Dehradun like?
Shri's eyes lit up.
Shri: You'll love it, ri Himalaya ki god me basa chota sa sheher hai , thandi hawa hai , tasty khana hai and the people are warm and welcoming just like Assam , ghar jesa hi lagega tumko
Riyan nodded, his curiosity piqued.
Riyan: I'm looking forward to it
As they cleared security and made their way to the gate, Shri couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia wash over her. She had grown up in Dehradun, and it was a place that held a special place in her heart. She was excited to share it with Riyan, but she was also a little sad to leave behind the friends and experiences they had made in Assam.
