Luna POV

"So, how long have you been living in Forks?" I asked Paul as he insisted on walking me back home through the forest because, and I quote '"It can get very dangerous for a gorgeous girl like you."'

Paul looked at me and smiled, "A few years now. I'm originally from Tacoma, Washington. Was born and raised there until my parents split up and Dad took me here. I wasn't close with Sam or any other pack members. Jared is probably the only exception because I joined his class when I moved."

I hummed in understanding whilst watching out for my footing because there are quite a lot of roots sticking out.

"How about you? Where are you from mystery girl?" Paul asked as he helped me over a big fallen tree. I couldn't help but feel the sparks filling my body to the point of getting me very excited. His touch certainly did wonders.

"Well, I'm originally from Boston. My parents are from a small town in Europe, somewhere between France, Germany, and Switzerland, whilst my baby sister is from here," I answered. "My parents moved to Boston when they were teenagers, they got married and had me, and since then we just lived our lives."

"Wow," Paul looked at me shocked. "You have some genes in yourself."

I laughed, "Yeah, I know."

"Is your little sister around your age?" Paul asked as he jumped over a small river. He held out his hand for me to take, but I didn't give the satisfaction when I jumped over the river and smirked at him.

"My sister is a baby," I answered with a smirk plastered on my face. "Even though she's a baby, she has a tight grip and a pair of strong lungs. No wonder Mum compared me to her."

"Really? How come?"

"I was always quiet as a child," I answered. "I always minded my own business when I was inside playing or doing puzzles. But outside with other kids, I was a ball of energy bouncing around everywhere."

Paul laughed loudly at my words, probably trying to imagine me when I was younger. "How do you know Bella, Paul?"

All of a sudden, he stopped laughing and sighed. "I don't know if you were told this but we - as in shapeshifters - can read each other's minds, and so when Jake transformed all of his thoughts about Bella were loud and clear. Even the ones we didn't want to hear."

"Oh urgh!" I gagged in disgust and made my body jitter. "To much information."

Paul laughed at my expression. He is really contagious. I wonder how he'll take it when the truth comes out.

"How much longer until we reach your house?" Paul asked as we stepped onto the road.

I quickly sniffed the air and smiled, "Twenty more minutes and we're there."

Paul POV

God, I can't stop listening to her. The sound of her voice is amazing, her laugh is contagious, and the way her eyes sparkle when they meet mine is soul-catching. God, I'm so thankful to have an imprint like her. I'm just hoping she'll take the news well when I tell her.

"Well, here we are," Luna announced as we came to stop right in-front of her house. I took the house in and memorised every inch and corner. I needed to know where my imprint lived otherwise, I would have gone crazy. "Thank you for walking me back home."

"Ah, it was no problem," I replied as we came to her front door.

"Umm, I would invite you inside by my sister is probably sleeping so-"

"Ah, it's okay," I said understanding the situation. "I'll see you around. Yeah?"

Luna nodded with a smile on her lips before gasping and going inside, causing me alarm only to find her coming back outside instantly with a piece of paper.

"Have a good night," Luna said as she handed me the paper, kissed my cheek, and went back inside.

I don't know how long I stood there but I couldn't move. Just a mere touch from her made my body feel alive. And the fact that she kissed my cheek gave me hope that something serious may occur between us.

I looked at the paper and smiled.

What a day.
