Chapter 10

Luna POV

It has now been a few weeks since Bella has left for Italy to save her vampire, and me trying to save her life but ended up getting hurt instead. Since then, the pack has been so protective of me that I threatened to leave Forks if they didn't control their protective instincts over me. To say they over reacted would be an understatement. They almost destroyed the whole house, including mine, Emily's, Kim's, and the Clearwater' ear buds.

After a long earful from almost every pack member, they calmed down. But Paul didn't. I knew that the moment I threatened to leave, especially him, his feelings and thoughts would go to a dangerous territory. Cause that's what happened to some of my Dad's pack members who lost their mates. And believe me, it was not a pretty sight.

It was currently Friday, and I was driving to the school parking lot when I saw Bella with her boyfriend go and talk to Jacob. Finally! After everything that has happened after Bella came back from Italy, strange things have started to happen. Especially in Seattle. Dad kept telling me that it was some hooligans, but we both knew better than that. We promised Mum that we'll be careful when we go hunting, but it is hard to when a group of vampires, and a full pack of shape-shifter werewolves, were chasing the enemy. It's also getting more dangerous for me and Dad to shift because of how close the enemies were.

I parked my car, grabbed my back, and got out and quickly locked the door, when I suddenly felt someone smell my hair from behind. "I don't know why, but your scent is driving me crazy."

I giggled as I turned around and planted a quick kiss on my boyfriend's lips. "Hey you. What are you doing here?"

"Just making sure you're okay," Paul said as hugged me, "and making sure Cullen is keeping his distance."

"Paul, we talked about this," I said as I grabbed his hands, "the Cullen's can't hurt me cause I'm your girlfriend. And they know you can kick their butts."

Paul chuckled as he kissed my forehead. "I love you, Babe."

"I love you too," I murmured into his shirt before letting go. "I'll see you after school. Okay?"

"Mm," Paul hummed in agreement before kissing me one last time and going over to his truck, got in, and drove away, just like Bella did on Jake's bike.

'There probably heading towards the pack house,' I heard my wolf say.

'You're probably right,' I responded. 'Come on, time for class.'

Throughout the rest of the day nothing eventful happened, except me missing Paul like crazy and texting him till my battery ended. It was getting harder for me to keep this secret. I hate keeping secrets, but my whole life has been a secret since before my birth, so I couldn't really do anything about it but wait.

I was now home, resting after revising for my finals, when I heard a tap on my window. I looked up and saw Paul and Jake grinning at me. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with them?

"Do you two have a death wish or something?" I asked as I opened the window for them to get in.

"Hi Kitten," Paul said as he quickly got in and went for my lips.

"Ewwww, guys seriously please not next to me," Jake gagged.

I laughed. "Just wait until you'll find the one. You'll be so smitten that you'll forget about everything else."

Jake was about to argue back when we heard my mum. "Luna, come and get your sister! Me and your Dad are going shopping!" And that was the last thing we heard before I rushed out of the room and down the stairs to get my sister from Dad's arms, only to calmly run back upstairs to my room.

"Wow Lu, never knew you were so quick," Paul said in amazement.

"Yeah, are you athletic by any chance or something?" Jake asked in wonder.

"Or something," I answered with a grin. I looked at Prim and smiled when I saw her looking and smiling at me. "Aww, did we wake you, Flower? I'm sorry my little precious Primrose."

"Your girlfriend is going to be an amazing mother," I heard Jake whisper to Paul.

"She will," Paul whispered back.

"Hey, I need to use the toilet, can you hold her?" I asked and gave my sister to Paul before running to my bathroom to do my business.

Once I finished, I flushed the toilet and washed my hands when I heard yelling. "What the hell is wrong with you?!"

"Paul, I couldn't help it!"

"She's a baby you idiot! How do you think Luna and her parents are going to react to this?!"

"React to what?" I asked as I opened the door to see Prim on my bed with pillows around her, and Paul and Jake arguing in-front of her. "React to what?"

Paul sighed.

"Luna, I need to tell you something."
