I fall in love with the faces that surround my life.
The man jogging in the green jacket,
A woman who matched her hair to her purple jeans,
Every musician lost in his own song,
Mathematicians distracted by their own real-world problems,
The hidden composer of the clock bells that sing every dawn,
The smell of coffee following rushing students,
The boy sitting under a tree reading someone else's manifesto,
The priest handing out his pamphlets with a smile,
A professor smirking when someone asks the right question,
And the little girl who found a patch of yellow flowers.
I fall in love with the souls that touch my day,
Even if I don't touch theirs.
