Eve's Wedding Gown

We all wear veils that shroud our insecurities.
My veil is colored black, dare light shine through.
A shroud of lies is deemed more appropriate,
For my transgressions outnumber my pure intentions.
And I dare not lie before the house of the Lord,
Under false pretenses.
