Let me introduce myself. We have some time to kill.
Consider me the pearly gates to your new favourite thrills.
We could go make history, or you could rest in peace, but here there ain't no misery
. On the other side, we live like kings.

We watch in awe as this ghost floats towards us, moving his hands in a magical-like way.

Whatcha going to do? Whatcha going to do?
Let your body loose. Let your body loose.
Whatcha going to do? Whatcha going to do?
Show you a thing or two' Because you haven't seen anything

The music climaxes as Caleb waves his arms and more ghosts appear, dancing and signing with him. We are amazed by the performance.

Life is good on the other side of Hollywood.
Life is good on the other side of Hollywood.
So welcome to the brotherhood.
You won't be misunderstood.
Life is good on the other side of Hollywood.

The waiter comes over and takes the light from our table, distracting Alex. My eyes stay glued to Caleb as he lands directly in front of our table, messing with the tablecloth. He slowly lifts it off the table and reveals a dancer standing on the table.

Whatcha going to do? Whatcha going to do? Boys
Let your body loose. Let your body loose.

The dancer stands on the table dancing. She suddenly kicks her legs around, and Caleb catches her foot just as it reaches Reggie. He stares at her in awe, and I laugh lightly. Then the other ghosts pull the cloth from their tables, revealing more dancers who jump and get caught by the waiters. It's insane. The worst part is that if the lifters are watching, they can see them.

Life is good on the other side of Hollywood.
Life is good on the other side of Hollywood.
So welcome to the brotherhood.
You won't be misunderstood.
Life is good on the other side of Hollywood.

The rain doesn't blind the rising souls.
They got too much to see. I got your glamour, got your gold.
You've got all you'll ever need.
Let me hear you now.

The rain doesn't blind the rising souls.
They got too much to see.
I got your glamour; I got your gold; I got all you'll ever need.

Watch me make a move. Watch me make a move, boys.
Whatcha going to do? Whatcha going to do?
Watch me make a move. No, I don't disappoint.
Whatcha going to do? Whatcha going to do? Amen
Watch me make a move; I'm your number one choice.
Whatcha going to do? Whatcha going to do?
Watch me make a move. Come one and give me that noise.
A tomb with a view—ain't it something?
Yeah

Life is good on the other side of Hollywood.

So welcome to the brotherhood.

Isn't it the best?
Long live the dead.

"This is so cool," Reggie says. "Isn't he that magician guy who died a horrible death doing on elf his tricks?"

"I wouldn't exactly bring that up when we meet him," Alex says.

"All right, but he can wave his arms and make ghosts visible to lifers?" Willie smiles. "Guys have skills," he says. "Okay, well, where did he go?" I say.

"Wow, I found him!" Reggie yells. We turn around and see Caleb standing there. "Hello, boys. Caleb Covington. Welcome to the Hollywood Ghost Club. Enjoying the show?" he asks, and we nod enthusiastically. "My boy Willie tells me you have some majors of your own," he says. Alex gets flustered. "Well, Willie and I? I mean, I wouldn't really call it magic, but, I mean..." Willie laughs and hops in, "No, he means your ghost abilities, like to be seen when you play with Julie."

"No, totally. Right. No, because when you said it, I was like, Is that what he said?" 'Cause.."

I interrupt this time. "Yeah, but we can't really, uh, wave our arms and do all this magic stuff." Caleb laughs, "Well, I've had some practice. Our gifts are so rare and special. It's not often I come across other spirits who possess similar talents. It's no surprise we found each other," he says. Then we walk away.

- later-

Caleb returns "I take it you boys are enjoying yourselves." he says "Yeah, I mean, you'd have to be insane to have a bad time here." I laugh. "Well, entertainment is our specialty. So now, I understand there's something I can help you with," he says.

"Um, yeah, we hope so," I say. "There's an old buddy of ours who ripped us off big time, and we want to make things right."

"We want to look him in the eyes and make him admit what he did to us," Reggie says.

"So if you could make us visible, that would be perfect." Alex adds.

"Well, sure, I could do that, but we're at a party. Why focus on those who have wronged us when we're among friends? Now, I understand that the three of you are talented musicians. I doubt that your dream is to settle a score. No, your dreams are bigger than that! You're like me—born to perform your music in front of sold-out crowds. What if I were to tell you that with a wave of my hand, you could share the spotlight with me... and join my house band?"

I chuckle slightly. "We already have a band."

"Yes. Yes But when you're done performing, you disappear. You cease to exist. No bows. No, no soaking up the applause. There is no real connection with the audience. Here, the audience knows who you are, and more importantly, they know how special you are. It is... all of your dreams come true... forever. I'm going to give you some time to think about it."

"Oh, by the way, try the sliders. They are to die for."

"Wait, we can eat here," I ask.

Then, three huge plates of food are brought out for us, and we decorate each plate.

- later-

"Ladies, let's show our guests how we do desert."

The song starts up again, but this time Willie joins in with the choreography. Alex watches him with a huge smile on my face, and then a set of twins come and dance with me and Reggie, pulling us away as we dance to the song.

then the clock chimes midnight.

"Twelve? How... How'd that happen? I'm sorry. Dude! Dude!" I yell to Reggie, "We forgot about Julie and Cami."

'Oh shoot. That's right. Maybe we can still make it. Where's Alex? Alex, we forgot."

"Up here, Julie, I know." Alex is sitting on a floating hoop.

"Get down here; we gotta get going!" I laugh slightly.

We start running for the exit, and Caleb appears in front of us. "Gentlemen, what's the rush? The party's just getting started, and you have an eternity, after all."

Reggie starts rambling. "We have a gig," I blurt out.

"But what about my offer?" Caleb says.

"It's very cool of you, Mr. Covington, but, like I said, we already have a..."

"A band of your own. I understand."

"Oh, boys, if you ever want to come back and fix that little problem with your friend, the Hollywood Ghost Club is always open."

"Yeah, man, we'd love to come back. Ah! Music to my ears."

He shakes our hands, and something stings my skin. We look up at him.

"Oh, it's just a little club stamp. until next time."

"Cool, thanks," I say before running. and whooshing through to the school.
