The Monster Inside

Did you ever realize what you did to me?

The pain you caused me,

The blood, sweat, and tears you

Broke me with

The darkness lurking inside me,

Knows all.

It knows the depression that lurks

Beneath the surface.

The tears that well

Down my eyes.

The blood that boils

Up from within.

I've given you my all.

My soul and my heart,

Now it is the monster withins turn

It claws upward and outward,

Its blood darkens as it rips through me.

As it rips through my every fiber,

Causing havoc,

Causing chaos that brings only blood.

Did you ever realize what you did to me?

All the pain I've felt,

All the tears I've cried,

All the screams in my head.

I've drowned before just thinking about you.

I've drowned in my mind,

I've drowned in my soul,

And in my gut.

All the broken-down sobs,

All the turmoil.

You cause this seeping anger,

This monster inside.

You caused the darkness inside,

You caused the monster to rise

Now fear its wrath.

Awaken.
