As I navigated Seoul's crowded streets, my mind was obsessed with my approaching job interview. Having recently relocated to the city, I was filled with both expectation and excitement for this new chapter in my life. I was so caught up in my thoughts that I almost missed a crowd gathering ahead of me, their voices rising above the hum of the city.
Curiosity peaked, I approached and discovered a small stage built up in the center of the street, decorated with bright lights and brilliant banners. A large audience had gathered, their attention drawn to the performers, who sang and danced with contagious intensity. The song struck a chord with me, and when I entered the audience, my heart rate increased.
The performers were attracting. Their voice flew across the air, full of emotion and strength. I was so caught up in the performance that I didn't notice a group of males standing close, their gazes locked on the stage with a mix of respect and amazement. One of them, an athletic and gorgeous man, drew my attention. He had a smile that could brighten even the darkest night, and when he looked in my direction, he lingered for a time before returning his attention to his pals, a wicked grin on his lips.
Butterflies flew through my stomach as I watched him, my pulse pounding with excitement and curiosity. Who was he, and why did he stare at me that way? When the act ended, the audience exploded in applause. The performers took their bows, reveling in the audience's appreciation. As the audience split up I stood near the stage, refusing to let go of the enchantment of the moment. I looked for the guy, but he was nowhere to be found.
I turned to go, feeling slightly disappointed. Just then, I felt a tap on the shoulder. I turned around to see the same person standing there with an embarrassed smile on his face.
"Hey, sorry to bother you" he remarked kindly. "I couldn't help but notice you in the crowd, and I just had to come over and say hi"
Surprised by his approach, I blinked and said "Oh, hello. I'm sorry, but do I know you?"
He chuckled, his eyes crinkling in enjoyment. "No, you don't know me" he confessed, his smile growing wider "But I couldn't let you leave without introducing myself. I'm Jimin"
I grinned back, delighted by his kind demeanour. "I'm Y/N" I said, offering my hand. "Nice to meet you, Jimin"
Jimin's smile widened as he shook my hand, and his touch sent shivers down my spine. "Likewise, Y/N" he said, his eyes twinkling. "So, what brought you to Seoul? Are you a fan of K-Pop?"
I laughed and shook my head. "Actually, I just moved here for a job" I stated, feeling a little self-conscious about my lack of understanding of Korean pop. "I'm still getting used to the city"
Jimin nodded carefully. "Well, if you ever need someone to show you around, I'd be happy to help" he said truly.
Touched by his thoughtfulness, I responded "That's very nice of you, Jimin. Maybe at some point I will accept your offer"
His smile grew with delight. "I'd like that" he replied kindly. "So, I should probably go catch up with the other guys. But it was great meeting you, Y/N. Maybe we will run into each other again someday."
Jimin waved goodbye before disappearing into the crowd, leaving me with a smile on my face and a flutter in my heart. As I made my way home, the memory of our unexpected meeting filled me with a sense of excitement and possibilities, anxious to see where this new chapter in my life would go.
