April, 1995.
"So?" Joey waited. "What do you think?"
"Hmm..." Draco, seated before her on the edge of her bed in her dorm as she stood between his legs, thought about her History of Magic essay she just read out loud to him. "Okay, it's good—don't get me wrong—but I just think you need to expand on your reasons."
"So it's not good." She blanked down at him.
"No, no, it is good," he assured her quickly as his large hands circled around the back of her bare thighs to feel her skin. "You have solid reasons, but you just need to expand on it more to get full marks."
Pursing her lips considerately, she held her essay out in front of herself, which blocked her face from his view. "But I don't know how much more I can expand," she muttered. "The reasons I chose aren't really even thinking outside of the box. They're just the easiest ones, so I just... they're just explained in one or two sentences."
As she restated the reasons in her essay, he untucked her uniform shirt from her skirt and unfastened the bottom buttons to expose her belly. Edging closer to her stomach, he pressed his mouth into her bare belly to pepper delicate kisses upon her skin.
He was always unable to resist just kissing her and caressing her. He just adored showing her love through any way he could. Touch, words of affirmation, gifts, acts of service—anything.
She didn't seem to mind since moments like this occurred on a daily basis. He found that she quite liked whenever he was feeling her up during any moment he could to show her affection. He noticed the fond and vivacious glimmer in the corner of her pupil whenever he did it. Made her feel wanted and needed and adored.
Because he did want her and need her and adore her.
They had snuck off to her dorm during lunch because she needed to read her essay out to him. She'd told him she would feel much more comfortable doing it in her shared dorm in case she needed to fix minor things.
"I can help you with it later," he insisted, pushing the words into the skin of her tummy as he held the sides of her chubby thighs. "Study date after classes?"
His hands slid around to her inner thighs once more and he felt the scab of the jagged heart he carved into her skin the other night.
"Okay, sure. Thank you." She nodded cheerily, as he'd expected and hoped, and set her essay down on the bed next to him. Her arms enveloped around his neck as she said, "Draco, I'm gonna go out for my free period."
"Alright. Where are we going?" His head angled back only slightly to hold her stare.
"No." She shook her head as the edge of her lips tugged in amusement. "I said I am going out. Me. Not you. You don't even have a free period."
"But we're a package deal," he told her simply.
"I just have to go to Hogsmeade," she explained, and her blackened eyes followed the movement of her fingers as she raked his hair back. "I need a new notebook for my homework agendas."
Draco knew she often used notebooks as her agendas to write down all her homework due to the fact that if she didn't write it down, there was a large possibility she'd forget it was for homework.
It'd happened once before when she forgot to write down a Charms essay. She had detention with Flitwick for it, though Draco joined her by being much more chatty and disruptive in class to gain the detention.
"I can get—"
"Hey." Her tone suddenly sharpened, though her expression remained pleasant and calm. "I am more than capable of paying for my own things and doing things on my own."
