18 - A friendly zombie

Calli: Ollie? We haven't seen her since this all started. We have no idea where she could be.

Amelia: Well one thing I know is she can't be in any of the few remaining island countries. There's no way they'd let her in because she's a zombie.

Ina: We also have to consider she might no longer be... Alive? Undead? Whatever you want to call it, because since she's a zombie, a survivor could've killed her by now.

Kyu: I'll follow whatever plan you come up with but we can't waste time. The longer we make Monzetsu wait the more bored she'll get, and nothing good comes from her being bored.

Kiara: As much as I'd love to find Ollie, make sure she's okay and give her a big hug, we don't have time for that, it could literally take us years to find her.

Calli: She's right.

Amelia: Well, guess we'll need to think of something else.

Irys: Actually, I heard someone in the lion village talk about someone with red hair that looked like a zombie and had a sword stuck in her head. I think they said they saw her at Coco village.

Kiara: Coco village? Didn't that place get attacked by the lions?

Irys: It did but the people there are really tough. The only reason they're not considered one of the factions is because instead of killing and robbing people, they focus on defense and growing their community. They also don't execute people. I wanted to go there instead of the lion village but I wouldn't have made it there in time for the blood moon.

Calli: Alright, I guess that's where we're headed. How far is it?

Irys: By foot it should take about six hours to get there.

Calli: Alright, we'll leave in a few hours.

Calli looks at me, Gura, Irys and Kyu.

Calli: I'm sure it was a long journey from the mountain. You four go inside and rest. Me, Kiara and Ina will pack up.

Gura: Okay!

Amelia: Alright.

I go inside. They cleaned this place up nicely. I'm sure it was a mess when they got here. I look for the living room and I quickly find it. I see two couches. I lay on one and immediately fall asleep. Later, I'm woken up by the sound of sniffling like as if someone's crying. I sit up and look at the other couch. It's Kyu. I walk over to her. She's crying a little bit in her sleep. I remember her saying she has nightmares because of the things she has witnessed. She's probably having a nightmare right now. I want to wake her up but I also remember she said she doesn't get much sleep because of it. I want to wake her up but at the same time I want to let her keep sleeping because she needs it. I think for a little bit and decide against waking her up. I go outside and see Kiara sitting on the grass in front of the house. I walk over to her.

Amelia: Hey, how long was I asleep for?

Kiara: A few hours. Come sit.

She pats the grass next to her. I sit there.

Amelia: Finished packing?
