When I got into the backseat, Shadow moved over and rotated Sonic's head onto my lap. His body was warm, almost too warm. "We need to get him some help soon. He has a fever now," I said. "When we get to my house, I have meds he can take that will bring the fever down," said Tails. I stroked Sonic's fur and kissed his forehead. "You'll be alright, Sonic. I'll make sure of that," I whispered into his ear. He moved a little, and I thought I saw the slightest smile on his lips.
