Author's pov
The next day, Shanaya arrived at Shruti's house, eager to help her best friend with the wedding preparations. The house was buzzing with activity as relatives and friends scurried about, making final arrangements for the big day. Shanaya was greeted with warm smiles and hugs as she joined the chaos.
As she helped with the decorations and last-minute errands, Shanaya's phone rang. It was Saransh. "Hey, how's everything going there?" he asked, his voice low and urgent.
Shanaya stepped outside into the garden, away from prying ears. "It's all happening, Saransh. The wedding is tomorrow, and everyone's in a frenzy."
Saransh's tone turned serious. "Remember the plan, Shanaya. We need to be ready tonight. Are you with me?"
Shanaya nodded, even though she knew Saransh couldn't see her. "I'm with you, Saransh. We'll make it happen."
With that, the call ended, and Shanaya returned to the house, her mind racing with thoughts of the plan and the night ahead.
At Saransh's office
Ok Ikshit paced back and forth, his worry lines deepening with each passing moment. "Saransh, I can't bear the thought of Shruti marrying someone else," he said, his voice laced with desperation. "I love her, and I can't lose her now."
Saransh looked up from his desk, his expression calm and reassuring. "Ikshit, trust me, everything will be alright tonight. My plan will work, and we'll make sure Shruti is safe from that forced marriage."
Ikshit's eyes locked onto Saransh's, searching for any glimmer of hope. "You promise, Saransh? You'll make it happen?"
Saransh nodded, his voice firm. "I promise, Ikshit. My plan will work. Just trust me, and don't worry. Tonight, we'll take care of everything."
Ikshit's face showed a hint of relief, but his eyes still held a lingering doubt. He knew Saransh was his only hope now, and he had to trust him to save Shruti and their love.
Just as Ikshit and Saransh were discussing their plan, Sana entered the room, and Ikshit's expression turned sour. "What do you want, Sana?" Saransh asked, noticing the tension between them.
Sana replied, "My dad said we're having dinner together tonight." Ikshit's eyes widened in shock, and he gestured to Saransh, as if to say, "Can you believe this?"
Saransh tried to brush it off, "Sorry, Sana, I'm a bit busy tonight, and I was going out with Ikshit anyway." But Sana's gaze lingered on Ikshit, her voice laced with accusation. "You never have time for me, Saransh. You're always stuck with him."
Ikshit jumped to his defense, "Hey, what's going on here? I'm his best friend, and you're his fiancée. Let's talk about this later, Sana, and don't create a scene here."
The air was thick with tension as Sana's eyes flashed with anger, and Saransh tried to intervene, "Sana, please understand—"
But Sana cut him off, her voice rising, "No, Saransh, I won't understand. You always prioritize him over me. I can see it clearly now."
The scene was getting heated, and Ikshit's mind raced with worries about the plan and Shruti's safety, all while navigating this unexpected confrontation.
Saransh's voice was laced with a hint of irritation, "Sana, I've told you I'm busy, and that's final. You can leave now."
Sana's face turned red with anger, and she stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind her. The sound echoed through the office, leaving an uncomfortable silence in its wake.
