I have never felt so sad and distressed at an extreme moment like this.
Normally I got nervous, I walked everywhere, often putting myself in the worst of the situation.
This time it is different; I am quiet, thoughtful, trying to think about what really happened to them, and if they are alive, which is my biggest suspicion, what really awaits them.

The piece of fabric, which was possibly a piece of Bubba's jacket- at worst, it could be his skin; we're made of fabric after all!- was a somewhat weak clue. They could have perfectly faked Bubba's death by removing a piece of fabric from his jacket, dipping it in blood and making up a version of his death.
They could be able to do worse than just that to prove it. That's why I think this clue doesn't help much.

We needed more clues if we wanted to know what had happened.

So when we saw that KickinChicken was better, we all got together.

Bobby Bearhug: I'm not going to ask about Bubba and Picky because I can imagine the answer...

DogDay: Don't worry, we have something. We have not found them, but we have found clues that could guide us to their true whereabouts.

KickinChicken: Oh yeah? Like what?

Hoppy Hopscotch: We found a piece of cloth, possibly Bubba's, at the bottom of the hole, near some somewhat sharp iron. Furthermore, the walkie-talkie was upstairs, not far from the hole.

CraftyCorn: And...what condition were the irons in?

DogDay: Just a little rusty.

CraftyCorn: Was there any blood or...?

LuckyLlama shook his head. I sighed in relief.
I knew that whole story was a bluff!
But what could have happened to him...? And what about Picky? Would she have also fallen into the hole with him?

Hoppy Hopscotch: Where we did find blood was above, in a trail that started from the walkie-talkie and reached the edge of the hole.

KickinChicken: Blood? Whose blood?!

LuckyLlama shrugged. They didn't know whose blood it could be.

Bobby Bearhug: And if the walkie was at the start of the trail, and the blood reaches the edge of the hole...is it possible that they hurt Bubba and threw him down?

DogDay: We thought the same thing...but we ruled it out. First, because there was no blood down there, and second, because we found this at the entrance of the hallway, near the edge of the hole.

DogDay took out a transparent thread, so thin that it could barely be seen. I touched it; It was like a wire that was not very flexible, but easy to bend.
It was a nylon thread, like fishing rod lines.

Hoppy Hopscotch: This was held taut by two hooks on the sides of the entrance. Therefore, as the victim passed by, they tripped over the thread and fell down. Because it was so thin, whoever that fell in it couldn't perceive it. When we arrived, the thread had broken already, so the trap had already been triggered.

It makes a lot of sense that traps were set up!
But possibly, if it's a "one-use" trap, only one has fallen to the bottom of the hole...

The relief deflated, and soon doubts entered my head through the main door.
Everything indicates that this is a Rejected Critters montage, and that they had used traps to achieve their goals.
KickinChicken shook his head mockingly.

KickinChicken: Those guys are real bunglers! They have left clues everywhere.

Bobby Bearhug: Okay, we know that Bubba fell down that hole, but what about Picky? Did she fall down too? Or suffered another different...you know.
