It's incredible how great things are going for us since the Smiling Critters have been with us!
I get along with my current friends very well, but these new friends are a breath of fresh air in the sometimes tense panorama of coexistence.
Our new friends are making me cope very well with confinement!I'm getting along very well with everyone. Even with Lucky, who is the shyest of all!
But above all, I get along great with Bobby and Kickin.
Bobby is very affectionate! She loves to give hugs and help everyone who needs it.
For her, confinement is not being easy. She doesn't talk much, according to her, for fear of being overheard, and because the confinement was making her somewhat dizzy. But if a day she is calmer than usual and feels in a good mood, she talks a lot!
Unfortunately, her being so talkative is not to GraciousGoat's liking, as he gets very annoyed by noise in general.
KickinChicken is the "cool guy", or that's what his friends usually call him.
He is brave, or at least he appears to be. I think he tries to hide his sensitivity and seem like a tough shell guy.
I see him as adorable more than brave, because the poor guy tries to impose his ideals and be heard but he doesn't succeed, because everyone is doing their own thing.
I listen to him and try to understand him, since his ideals and mine are quite opposite. But I like to talk to him, because he's so funny and outgoing!Normally, the three of us are together in the office or warehouse, chatting. Sometimes PickyPiggy or LuckyLlama joins the conversation, but it's usually just the three of us.
There are many times that Bobby doesn't come because she is busy or feels unwell. In that case, it's Kickin and I, and we go to the warehouse chatting or we stay on the landing.Life down here is going well for us. Coexistence is not usually very tense, and we are comfortable and safe! What more could you ask for?
Also, the worst problem, which used to be going to the supply room to look for things, has been solved thanks to the Smiling Critters.
They have a friend, CatNap, who although he doesn't hide with us down here, he brings us the supplies from the supply room and takes them to the entrance of the landing when there is no one around.
Poor CatNap, the poor guy looks like a pack donkey, carrying things from here to there, risking his life so that we can be safe.
I have asked DogDay about him hiding with us, but he refused.
I didn't look into the matter further, but I knew that perhaps it was related to his personal relationships.Everyone was fine with our friendships, or at least they seemed to be.
Until two weeks after Picky's arrival, a day when everything seemed to go wrong arrived.
It started out as a very normal day. SnarkShark and I were in the office. He was writing down his top-secret stuff on the desk, and I was in the corner of it, reading a book.
At that moment, KickinChicken entered the room. He greeted me by touching my shoulder, took a book from the shelf, said goodbye to me with a gesture similar to the previous one, and left without closing the door.
SnarkShark looked upset, and during his brief stay in the room, KickinChicken had been being watched by Snark.
I got up to close the door, and upon returning to my reading, I decided to ask him.PeaceDove: Something happens?
SnarkShark: Hm?
PeaceDove: I mean that if something happens to you and KickinChicken.
SnarkShark: Nothing, the usual.
I didn't believe it was just "the usual".
It's true that Snark and KickinChicken don't get along at all. Although there were no big fights, the hostility between the two could be seen.
I already noticed it the way SnarkShark was looking at KickinChicken.
