DangerDeer: So? Are you gonna talk?

Hoppy raised her head after spitting the blood out of her mouth.
She had been sitting for hours on the strange floor of the highest balcony in the power alley.
She had spent hours with her hands tied to one of the bars of the railing.
She had been tortured mercilessly for hours, raging at the pain in her twisted wrist and the pain in her body from the blows.
But she was silent. She didn't scream, much less say anything that the Rejected Critters would use against her team.

DangerDeer: I expected the silent treatment coming from someone more childish. We are no longer children.

Hoppy looked down again.
DangerDeer got closer.

DangerDeer: And remember that if you die, you won't help your friends. Are you gonna act like the hero for nothing? Maybe if you tell me, you'll get to see them again!

Hoppy turned a deaf ear to DangerDeer's absurd arguments. She remained silent, without complaining.
Until DangerDeer got tired.
The deer grabbed Hoppy by the ear and pulled her head up, forcing her to see his face and his angry expression.

DangerDeer: You don't have any other options, Hoppy! GIVE UP FOR FUCK'S SAKE!

Hoppy Hopscotch: Make me!

DangerDeer slammed Hoppy's head into the railing behind her. She didn't complain, although it hurt her quite a bit.
DangerDeer stared at Hoppy for a moment. He went to the stairs.

DangerDeer: I'm coming back, huh? Do not get excited. If I see that you have done something strange, you are going to pay for it. And no shouting, I can hear you from here. Or do you want me to go get more tape?

She remained silent and did not even make a gesture.

DangerDeer: I thought so.

DangerDeer got down and left.
When she heard the door close, Hoppy sighed all the pain she had swallowed out of pride and to keep her friends' secret. Tears of pain emanated from her eyes.
She wasn't afraid of dying, but she was afraid that something bad would happen to others in her absence. She didn't want to imagine what could happen to the ones in the annex while she was there, helpless.
She wished she could free herself, get out of there and run to safety. But that was not possible. Not now.

Suddenly, a noise was heard.
Hoppy pricked up her ears, and although there was a short silence, she soon heard little steps going up the stairs.
Hoppy looked at the stairs, and little by little she saw a familiar silhouette, which quickly materialized before her eyes, when he reached the end of the stairs.

Hoppy Hopscotch: Lucky? What the hell are you doing here?!

LuckyLlama rose his hoof up to his lips in order to tell her to lower her voice.
He made a sign, but Hoppy didn't understand its meaning, since she wasn't interested in learning sign language.

Hoppy Hopscotch: You can't stay here! Go away, if he catches you he will kill you, and we'll be very fucked up!

LuckyLlama shook his head and approached Hoppy. He considered the injuries to her face, and then tried to remove the tape that tied her wrists to the railing.
The pain in her wrist and the fear of being discovered unrestrained made Hoppy very resistant.

And suddenly, knocks were heard.

Hoppy Hopscotch: He's coming! Go, hide anywhere!

Lucky stood there, scanning for a nearby, valid hiding place. He finally opted for some boxes in the corner.
Hoppy had to calm down before DangerDeer went up to the upper floor.
By the time she managed to regain her composure, DangerDeer was back on the top.
He had more duct tape.
