It had been 5 weeks since the Casey family when to New Zealand they loved it the trip was just what they needed.
They were on the plane waiting for it to take off so they could go back to Chicago they were ready Matt And Sylvie were due back on shift in 72 hours.
It was a 16 hour and 35 minute flight back the airline had upgraded Matt and Sylvie's tickets to first class.
Half way though the flight Sylvie was sleeping Matt was watching a film and all the kids were fast a sleep no one had any idea they was a bomber on board they was a huge explosion.
It knocked everyone back hard including Sylvie she was hurt the kids but some miracle were okay and so was Matt for that matter.
"Sylvie are you okay" Matt asked
"Yeah well I think my arm broken but other then that I'm okay" Sylvie said
"Here I'm going to put you arm in jacket to keep it still until we can off this plane" Matt said
Sylvie jumped into action after Matt used his jacket has a sling for her she looked for injuries lucky they were just off the coast of Chicago.
The fire department was in there way to the crash sight Sylvie was busy patching people up with the crew first aid kit and doing her best with on hand as a firefighter Matt was finding fire extinguishers and putting the fire out it didn't take long for rescue to come.
Matt got the kids first then Sylvie once out Sylvie collapsed the paramedics ran over.
"It's okay Sir she had a deep cut from shrapnel in her ribs she passed due to blood loss my name is Lyra" Lyra said
Sylvie was loaded in the ambulance Matt and Kids when with her to the nearest hospital.
"Mr Casey I'm Dr Simms I have been treating your wife she okay broken arm a mild concussion and the piece of sharpnel we removed didn't damage any vital organs we have stitched up the wound and the wound on her head" Dr Simms said
"Thank you Look we live in Chicago and they have great hospital they Chicago Med is they anyway she could go they" Matt asked
"Well she's stable yes we get her airlift to Chicago Med right away" Dr Simms said
Dr Simms wrote a transfer order and Sylvie was airlifted to Chicago Med he informed and send over the records.
Once at Med Sylvie was taken straight to the ICU Matt rang Christie and asked to take the kids back to theirs.
The docs at Med read Sylvie's handover notes from the previous hospital.
