Sylvie and Shat had just Finnished another shift it was now time for 24 hours downtime Matt was picking up Sylvie and Severide was picking up Shay as they carpool together.
"Hey how was shift" Matt asked
"It was busy very busy we had the most calls barely had time to sleep the bells were going off every 20 minutes" Sylvie said
"At you least have 24 hours off now which I know is not a lot time off" Matt said
"This is only till Boden finds two new permanent medics as I just found out Chilli got fried from the CFD for drinking on the job" Sylvie said
"Seriously" Matt asked
"Yes she was formally asked to take a leave of absence and go into rehab but she refused so they sack her at least she is took the leave of absence she still get paid" Sylvie said
"So now the chief at 105 is stuck and asked me and Shay to cover but we politely declined because we don't want to give chief Ridler a chance to transfer me" Sylvie said
"Yeah good idea the last thing you need is for him to have another opportunity to transfer out of 51 he still not happy that Boden when over his head and transfer you back to 51 but there's nothing he can do about" Matt said
This overtime was taking a toll on Sylvie because she woke up ready for next shift sick
"Sylvie your sick call Boden and he can lead Shay Jimmy for this shift I take today off as well" Matt said
Matt called Boden about Sylvie
Hi Chief Sylvie will not be in this shift she sick I taking this shift off to take care of her I will not be in either take Jimmy for the day and put him on Ambulance for the day.
No problem Herrmann can fill in as acting Lieutenant for the day and Jimmy can fill for Brett on double duty tell her to rest up I see her next shift.
"Thank for taking to day off Matt you didn't have to" Sylvie said
"Honest it bother Herrmann Actimg Lieutenant for this shift" Matt said
"I told Shay I'm not in today and she just rest and she will see me next shift" Sylvie said
Next shift
Sylvie return to work after 3 days off she was feeling better and ready for some more overtime.
"Hey Farmgirl good to have you back" Shay said
"Yeah sorry I was not in last shift" Sylvie said
"Yeah that okay you were sick and took a sick da Shay said
"Yeah Matt took that shift off as well to look after Herrmann covered for him" Sylvie said
"Yeah I worked it out why he was not in How's it going with you two" Shay asked
"It's going great he's the love of my life we have already talked about getting Married and kids in the future" Sylvie said
"Damn girl but Sylvie Casey had a nice ring to it hey when's you next furlough" Shay said
"Next Month why" Sylvie said
"Because I want to come with and meet my family they keep asking to meet you and I want them off my back" Shay said
"Okay sure I'll put a furlough request not sure how many days I have because I used one them for a sick day" Sylvie said
"We're only going for 7 days" Shay said
"Okay Well I'll talk to Boden and see if I can get 7 days off or 3 days furlough as that how many shifts we missed" Sylvie said
The reason Shay and Brett get along so well is because they are both Badass also Sylvie loved the nickname that Shay had given her it was it was a really good and for Shay she knew the moment she saw Sylvie she would be best friends with her.
"Hey partner, I just came from Boden office and he said that my Furlough is approved" Sylvie Said
"Yes you are going to love my family thanks Farmgirl" Shay said
Ambo 61 person unknown causes.
"Let's stop for coffee after this call" Shay said
"Okay sure" Sylvie said
Brett and Shay drop and patient of at Med Shay let Brett drive the rig.
"Thank for the quick thinking on that call" Shay said
"No problem I want to tell you something I been needing extra Money so I have been taking some Med classes just for the last month" Sylvie said
"Thanks great i taking it your not coming off Ambo" Shay asked
"No I love working with you Matt is the only one who knows" Sylvie said
