Polly was nineteen years old, she had blue eyes, blonde hair and was good for nothing. At least, that is what her parents said. She had always been quite dumb, she couldn't help it. It wasn't like she was stupid or just never studied, it was more on a genetic level. It was because of this that she was never able to complete normal tasks, like doing the dishes, folding laundry, or even walking the dog(For they had lost two dogs to her letting it "Run off '').

She had undergone some therapy and was starting to get a grasp on life but was still getting the hang of it.

Despite her lack of talent, she would play a crucial role in saving many lives threatened by a small mistake, a mouse sized mistake.

In the nearby mountains deep underground in a secret facility a "monster" was breathing its first breath in years. After that power had gone out, so did the tanks life freezers causing the being trapped inside to be unfrozen. The tank was still sealed tight, but that was no problem for a creature like him.

He simply slid between the molecules of the tank and came out the other side of the two inch thick glass wall and then acted like nothing had happened.

Looks wise he was very attractive, he was a tall brunette male, with brown eyes. He appeared to be twenty, maybe twenty one, but defying his youth he stumbled around the lair like a blind old man looking for his glasses.

He was making all sorts of inhuman noises as he stumbled around, until at last he found what he was looking for. Pinned to a wall on a special type of hook was a large suit built specifically for him. He used his hands to fela around it, as if looking for something on it.

His hand never slipped, rather it would sometimes phase through the material then come back out again. After he had successfully put his hands into the right positions he simply slid through the suit and didn't materialize until he was fully in.

Slowly as the suit powers up his vision starts to be restored. Due to all the molecules in his body being split, his vision was fractured. The suit had some special built in goggles that acted like a kaleidoscope, except in reverse piecing together the fractured ways in which he saw the world.

ONce his suit was at full power and had parented to his body, he phased in order to get off the hoot and took two steps toward the middle of the room. With his head on a swivel, he took in his surroundings.

"Mama, Poppa?" Was all he said. He then waited for hours, as if at any second he would see his Mom, who was pregnant and his proud father to come down the ladder and into his lab. No one came.

He was lost, and he needed to find direction...

Present day, Alex was still recovering from the shock of small bolts of energy hitting her, coursing throughout her body. Out of all the things she had experienced, this was the worst. "You can't leave yet." Said Tod, now bending over her paralyzed body, she was still in shock from his stun gun. "We still have use for you, and don't worry, the effects of the shock will wear off. Eventually..."

A panting Steven came up beside him. He tried to speak but Tod instantly cut him off. "Save your breath, I can see what is happening very clearly. This time, send her to the therapist, if he could get scum like karlie to join us then Alex should be a piece of cake." All Steven could utter was "Yes sir."

Alex had never before felt so relaxed or persuaded to do something before. It was like a therapist and a negotiator had had a baby. In the end their idea was that she would help them hunt down the shadowy figures known as the leaders of sharks and once it was done she would be paid with all the money she could ever dream of to help sponsor one of her little side projects that we briefly mention in a previous chapter.
