(24) Lucy part two

It was all about quick reactions, a sword flung by her head and they had barely dodged it. The sword was attached to a long chain attached to a large man. The man pulled on it and came flying down from his perch in the sky to face his opponent. Lucy quickly formed a new sword to block the other sword in the man's left hand. The man landed on his feet and pulled up his second sword from the ground with his right hand and charged Lucy.

Lucy tried to block but he rammed her and she was sent flying into the sky, oh how she missed gravity. She used her powers to propel herself through the void back down to her teacher, Cuthbert. "Common, put your back into your swings!" He called out as she Created long arches missing him by a couple feet as he dodged with ease. The two had been trapped in the Gem since their fight but since then they had decided there was no use in hating each other for eternity, plus nothing matter anyways. That was life now.

After three days the fight ended. Lucy had gotten her first win over Cuthbert. "Lets see, that puts me at, erm.. Seven hundred and twenty two to one." Lucy was helping him up. "Please, don't adulate me." She said, rolling her eyes, "The praise is just too much, anyways I created your weapons therefore I get partial credit for all of your wins." She said, crossing her arms. With nothing else to do they just trained. Time was irrelevant in the Gem, and neither of them needed sleep or food.

Lucy had discovered after the first three years that if her victim willingly let her take them over the victim could say conshines and just be a more powerful variant. She had used this on Cuthbert many times. "Well, that is fun.'' Said Cuthebrt. "Ya." Said Lucy, only half listing, she was too busy looking at the roof of the jemstone. It was through here they could see the outside world.

The gem had at some point been cast into a volcano and had been encrusted under the earth but that was many years ago. At some point a crack had opened up revealing a beautiful lush cave under the earth that only they had access to view. "One day were going to get out of here." She said mostly to herself. "I wouldn't get your hopes up if I was you." Said Cuthbert. "Ya, but it's fun to pretend." "Ok, let's say we get out of here, what are you going to do?" "Well, I guess I will try to fulfill my fathers wish. I kind of failed at that lats time." "Hey, my bad. I should have heard you out, but you don't really stop to talk with the strange demon girl that you just saw kill someone." "First off, not demon, spell. Second, I didn't mean to kill him. Or any one for that matter." "Ya, YA, i've heard your stories hundreds of times before."

They continued to talk when suddenly they heard a loud clang fill the air. Clang, Clang, Clang! "What the Heck?" Said Cuthbert. They both looked up to see not the cave but a large metal object being raised and lowered onto their home. Somehow in their chats they had missed the gem's discovery. Suddenly cracks Belgian to fill the gem and they could feel themselves being sucked into them. They didn't even try to fight it.

There was a loud sucking noise then they were outside. Cuthbert was in a crowd of shouting people, he looked around and saw Lucy on a stage that was before him but something about her looked different. In the middle of her chest was the gem, and her eyes were a shining white. Cuthebrt whistled as Lucy began to grow and turn into her shadowy form. Some people tried to throw brooms and shovels at her but it had no effect. She could see that if she didnt do something quick she would just end up killing more people so she shot out a blast that allowed her to take over all the people around her.

The best had no effect on Cuthbert as he had already been joined with her. "Whoa, you sure look different." Yelled up Cuthbert. "Ya," Boomed down Lucy, "I guess I do." She was now examining her two new arms. "Oh, power me up, I wanna see if I have any changes!" Lucy used her powers to change Cuthbert to his shadow form. He was more or less the same except he was now much larger and stronger.
