On a fateful day in December, it was snowing gently and the fairies were laughing and okaying in the snow. Except me. I was reading a book in the library. You see, you might think it's because plants and snow don't match well so I don't like snow. Well, the answer is no. I hate snow because Jasper hid in the snow to kill my sister. It reminds me too much of death. The book I was reading was about the Fae-Elves war which lasted hundreds of years. It wasn't until the humans got involved that the war was finally able to cease-fire. Just as I was flipping a page, my wand began to tingle. I accepted the call and a screen of mist began to show a moving picture of my parents talking.

It read, "This is to all the fairies in Farstar, I call you to join us at the border today at exactly sundown today. Please wear your best clothes and have your best behavior due to the Elven Emperor and his people coming to join us at the border today. Thank you."

I could not move from my position for a few moments because the last time the fae and the elves met each other was when the cease-fire was declared. I was there when I was 60 and let me tell you the fighting was too violent for my young eyes. You know, I saw a 60 year old Jasper there too huddling behind the protection of a elven knight. I remember his dark black hair brushing his forehead while his jasper eyes were wide open. He was so adorable then. I wonder what had happened.

Anyways, I stood up from my spot in the library and walked to my room. It had a scent of lavender and the theme was, you guessed it. Nature... I mean I do like nature and stuff but honestly I'd rather be a hunter. Being a princess is luxurious but there is so much limitations to it. I can't even step on foot into the woods anymore after what had happened to Khali. Before she had died I had been practicing my archery skills in the forest day and nights whenever I had free time.

I looked inside my closet and somehow, I saw a black hunting dress and a red cape with a hood that seemed perfect for my "I WANT TO HUNT" mood. Well, in my opinion. I know I wasn't really fitting the "I LOVE NATURE" mood right now.

After I got ready, I flew out the door and got some weird looks from my sisters. Kyomi came over to me and asked, "What are you wearing? Go back to your room and wear a nice dress that reminds you of your powers. I'll find something for you, come on!"

I shook my head at her and told her, "This is what I want to wear and I am not changing from it. Khali would have approved."

Kyomi scowled at me and replied, "Don't you dare say her name so carelessly. You know, she died while wearing something like that. It's cursed. That dress is probably going to attract the elves to come after you. Don't talk to strangers or should I say, Jasper." Then she flew away from me and began talking to her big group of friends. She was probably talking about me. Ugh. Out of all my sisters, she is the most unfair to me. One time when she planned a party for all of the family, she completely forgot to give me a seat. And the party was to celebrate my 100th birthday.

I checked the sun and saw that it was almost sunset. I hurried to the library again and stuffed some scrolls in my basket because usually meetings would be so boring. And I love reading too. Then, I flew to the kitchen to stuff some snickerdoodle cookies inside the basket. Those were mostly for Madame Frances because she loves the cookies. Madame Frances is like ummmm... I can't really explain it honestly. So just imagine one of those sweet grandmas in the human world except minus the plump figure, no glasses, gorgeous, and still looks young. Actually not a grandma, she's more like the wealthy aunt.

I took a bite out of a cookie and sighed. It was going to be hard to face Jasper again. I walked out of the kitchen to give my wings a rest. Then I twirled my wand and I was transported to the outside of the Alalaala forest. I fluttered my wings a little on the ground then I whispered, "Covn evd wingsz weirt rite ailn yerguise evdsif henter eh human." It was a spell to hide my wings and make me look like a human.

After the spell was complete, I began my walk to inside the forest.
