Angel walked into the studio, immediately being grabbed. He yelped, not bothering to try and see who it was.

Vox walked over. "Be easy on him. he looks absolutely miserable. I don't wanna hear velvet lecture you for 4 hours again." Vox said to Val, his hand on the tallers shoulder.

Angel held his breath, watching the two. Vox walked away, shooting Angel a glare. Val rolled up Angel's sleeve, inspecting his bandages. "Hmm, what's this?"

"I got into a fight." Angel mumbled, averting his gaze. Valentino chuckled. "Liar." "Valentino! Let that poor boy go!" Velvet said firmly.

"Remember, I told you he's here to be with me and Vox. He's not allowed to be with you two days in a row." Velvet said firmly. Val rolled his eyes, letting Angel go.

Velvet pulled Angel into another room, the room full of fabrics. She made him sit, ignoring his bandages.

Vox stood awkwardly to the side as Velvet measured Angel to make him new clothes. Angel looked at Vox, chewing on his lip. "What was your relationship like with Alastor before you guys started to hate each other?"

Vox paused, his face glitching. "We were close. Real great friends, inseparable. I just- I ruined everything." Vox mumbled, looking away. "He didn't want to keep moving forward, but I wanted to make the best of what we had. I won't lie, I was worried about him for the first two years of his absence. Then I thought he double died. He kept me on my feet when I first got here."

Angel nodded slowly. "He tried to make a deal with me." "did you.. take it-?" "No. I- he wanted me to send a message to you, in return, he'd get rid of Valentino. I hate his guts but- I can't."

"Val is a pain in the ass sometimes but I don't know where I'd be without him." Velvet joined in, moving away from Angel to start sewing the fabric.

"Do you want to explain what the fuck happened to your arms? And stomach. I hope you know I'm going to have to cover those up because Valentino can't hire people who know what they're doing."

Angel averted his gaze, his hair falling in his face. Vox shook his head. "Isn't it very clear? He cut himself. He wouldn't dodge the question otherwise." "Will you shut up you big pissbaby? You're not him so don't speak when I'm clearly not talking to you." Velvet said, her voice filled with annoyance.

Vox gave Angel a look, an I told you so look. Angel chewed on his lip, messing with the bandages. "He's right." Angel mumbled. "It's fine tho! They're cleaned properly and everything. Nothing to worry about-" he said quickly.

Velvet let out a long sigh, rubbing her temples. "Why am I surrounded by mentally ill people." She mumbled to herself. "Vox, you better be clean." "I am, I am." Vox grumbled, crossing his arms.

"So why exactly am I here?" "I'm bored, Valentino is useless aaaaaaand Vox is boring so you're the last resort. Plus, you've got some unique physical traits I can challenge myself with. When we're done we're going out to eat. Just us three, no Valentino. You don't have to though, just an option. I would blame you."

"okay." Angel sighed, fixing his hair. Vox and Angel talked for a while as Velvet quietly finished up the clothes, laughing about small things.

Velvet handed Angel the outfit. "You can wear it when we go out." She said, glancing at Vox. "Go change into something that's more fitting for this. Not- fancy."

Vox walked out of the room to change, Velvet coming over to Angel again. "Makeup?" "Sure." Angel sighed, closing his eyes.

Velvet worked on his face quietly, smiling when she took a step back. "There. Perfect." She said, showing Angel a mirror.

He smiled, thanking her softly as Vox came back into the room in more casual clothes.

The night was blissful, something new and exciting to Angel. Vox and Velvet treated him like they were friends, going out to eat and then drinking and laughing.

Angel couldn't help but walk into the hotel with a grin on his face, new bandages on his arms. Husker and Cherri glanced up in sync, both confused.

"Good day?" Cherri asked. Angel nodded, sitting down. "I had a lot of fun." "Never thought I'd hear ya say that." Husker chuckled. "So, what happened that was so great? And who changed your bandages?"

"Oh, yeah. Vox helped me. It wasn't something to do with Valentino. I only saw him once today, it was actually really nice. I talked with Vox and Velvet for a while, we hung out and stuff."

Cherri smiled. "I didn't think they had it in them to be nice to anyone." "I didn't really either." Angel giggled, scratching the back of his neck.

"I'm probably gonna go to bed, I didn't sleep for shit last night." "Okay, goodnight Angie." Cherri smiled. Angel leaned over the counter to kiss Huskers cheek. "Night, whiskers." "Night, 'tony."

Angel beamed, walking off to go to bed.

SUPER short chapter. It's a filler chapter, the next few are supposed to be big and angsty. Vox is going to be super important in chapter 11 and 12. :)
