Angel pinned the new pictures of him and Vox on his door, hanging with the rest of his most important pictures.

He let out a soft sigh, his hand lingering on the face of the picture, before he walked away.

Charlie placed a hand on his shoulder. "It's okay, Angel." She said gently, offering a kind smile. Angel glanced at her, a soft smile creeping onto his lips.

"Are you feeling fine enough to do anything yet or is it still too soon?" "Ehh- I dunno toots. I'm not in a good space right now, I don't wanna get overwhelmed in front of everyone again." Angel mumbled, looking away. Charlie frowned, but nodded.

"Okay. Well, uh. Dad and Alastor are making dinner, and dessert if you want any. We were gonna maybe watch a movie?"

"I'll be there." Angel smiled at her, patting her head. Charlie grinned, "okay!" She squealed, walking downstairs.

Angel fixed his hair, taking a deep breath. He walked downstairs, sitting down next to Cherri. She glanced at him, giving a soft smile. "You okay, Angie?" "Tired." He mumbled, leaning on her shoulder.

"I haven't slept for shit." "Yea, I heard. Is there anythin' you want me to do?" "I dunno." Angel shrugged, hugging her arm.

She ruffled his hair, sighing. "Do you know how long you have off work?" "I don't remember. It's just until they get the company back up and running."

She nodded slowly, glancing at his wrist. It was healing. Husker leaned on the back of the couch, poking Angel's shoulder. "You don't have to eat if you don't wanna. And I'd you do, one bite is good enough." He said quietly so only Angel and Cherri could hear.

"I second that." Cherri stated, Angel nodding. "Okay." Charlie popped into the room, "dinners ready." She said with a smile. "Okay, we'll be there in a minute."

"Do I have to?" Angel whispered, sitting up so Cherri could get up. Husker shook his head. "Not right now, no. But I want you to try later. Lay down and rest for a little bit, you haven't slept in days."

Angel nodded slowly, laying down on the couch. He hugged a pillow, glaring at the floor. Husker leaned down to kiss the top of his head, sighing.

"Angel's not eating again?" "I'll deal with it, just- just don't talk to him about it. Not a good topic." Husker mumbled.

"Can you blame him? He feels sick because his friend died." Cherri said, glancing at Husker.

Husker nodded, his ears perking up when he heard a knock at the door. Angel got up to answer it, rubbing his eyes groggily.

Husker glanced at Cherri, his face implying they should go too. Cherri nodded, standing up.

The two walked over to the door, where Angel stood. Velvet was there, Valentino not too far behind her. She was holding a few small things for Angel, dark eyebags under her eyes.

"You look like a mess." "You can't talk, you white spiderey bitch." Velvet replied, crossing her arms.

"Tell Alastor he's a bitch for me, and that's it. Go sleep or something, you look awful." She mumbled. "Bye, Vel." She waved slightly, turning back.

Valentino lingered, blowing red smoke at Angel. Angel flinched, setting the items down. Chains appeared around his neck, causing him to hiss.

Val smiled, tugging even harder so Angel choked. Angel leaned against the doorframe, clawing at the chains.

"Valentino!" Velvet growled. The chains dissipated, and Cherri moved in front of Angel, who was now gasping for air.

She pushed him back some, glaring. Husker stood beside her, keeping a firm stance. He held his angelic cards, his wings spread to cover Angel as much as possible.
