Laure Ri Daza's Point of View

I hold tightly to the corner of the island corner while staring at Hiro's back. Dahil napakalaking tao ni Hiro ay nagmumukhang maliit ang kusina ko. Kahit ang ulo niya ay matataman na ng cupboard. After we finished eating, he told me he will take care of the dishes. Normal lang daw na siya ang maghugas ng mga plato dahil pinagluto ko siya. Kaya naman ngayon ay nagsisimula na siyang maghugas at naiwan naman akong nakatayo dito sa pwesto ko.

I don't know if I will feel sorry to him. Kailangan pa niya kasi na yumuko ng kaunti para hindi tumama ang ulo niya sa cupboard. Why does he have to be this tall? My height is only average. I even have to tiptoe in order to open the cupboard or get a monoblock chair. Ito ang ginagamit kong patungan ng paa para maabot ko rin ang mismong loob. However when it comes to him, he can easily reach it.

I tried measuring his back using my finger even though it was futile. Hindi ko naman siya masusukat gamit ang daliri ko. Roughly, I think he stood six feet and two inches in height. Too tall for me, I guess.

"What? Kaunti na lang at matutunaw na ako sa titig mo." My face suddenly went flushed when Hiro suddenly turned his head to me. Pansin pala niya na kanina pa ako tumitingin sa kanya!

I was really shocked that I came too strong again. Lalo na nang yayain ko siya dito sa loob ng apartment ko. Kahit siya ay mukhang hindi inaasahan ang pagyaya ko sa kanya. I was hoping that he will decline and tell me he's busy. But Hiro flashed a grin and agreed without second thought.

I'm still contemplating a lot if this is a good thing or not. Kahit ganon ay naenjoy ko pa rin ang araw ko dahil kay Hiro. Lalo na nang malaman kong wala siyang allergy sa hipon. I can eat freely without being conscious. I actually felt relieved that Hiro seemed like he enjoyed the dish that I cooked for him.

"Hindi ako tumitingin sa'yo, no." Umiwas ako nang tingin at nagpanggap na pinupunasan ko ang island counter.

"Really? You've been wiping the same spot for five minutes straight."

"Oh," I said while realizing that he just caught me.

"Yes 'oh'," he chuckled and continued washing the dishes.

"Be comfortable around me Laure. Hindi ako gagawa ng mga bagay na di mo magugustuhan."

Hindi ko alam kung dapat ba akong mas kabahan o maging kampante sa sinabi niya. He made it sound so easy. Napaka bilis ba naman kasi ng mga pangyayari. When I saw him at the restaurant and thought of him as Mirage's cheating boyfriend, the first thing that came to my mind was that it would be the first and the last time we'd be seeing each other. But fate must be playing me a lot. He's here, in the flesh, inside my apartment, washing my dishes. As if he already made himself at home.

"I'm comfortable around you." I said. Tinaasan niya ako ng kilay na parang bang sinasabi niya na hindi siya naniniwala sa sinabi ko.

"I guess you're stopping yourself from being comfortable, Laure. You must be feeling guilty about it because of your boyfriend. Loosen up, your boyfriend is having a good time with other people. Might as well do the same." By the time Hiro is done washing the dishes, he uses the dry cloth that is hung in the refrigerator to remove the excess water in his hands.

"And that's what I'm doing." I give him an obvious look.

After our dinner, I thought he will leave. Pero kahit mag alas nueve na ng gabi ay hindi pa rin umaalis si Hiro. Ngayon naman ay nakikita ko na lang ang sarili kong nanonood ng Busted! Season 1, Episode 8 kasama siya.

At dahil wala pa siyang balak umalis ay napagpasyahan namin manood muna habang nagpapalipas ng oras. I didn't expect that he will watch Busted! with me. Nakaupo ito sa carpet habang ang likod niya ay nakasandal sa may sofa. Ako naman ay nakaupo mismo sa sofa at naka cross ang mga paa. He ordered two boxes of pizza and a large soft drinks online and it was now placed at the table. Halos katatapos lang namin dalawa kumain ng dinner ay kakain na naman kami para sa midnight snack. Hindi na ako magtataka kung magmumukha akong bloated kinabukasan pagpasok sa trabaho.
