Laure Ri Daza's Point of View

A loud thud startled me. It came from a bang coming from the door. Napakunot ang noo ko nang makita ko kung paano sinarhan ni Sir Rico ang pinto ng kanyang office. Nagkatinginan naman kaming dalawa ni Gemma dahil dito. Sabay din kaming nagkibit balikat dahil parehas kaming walang ideya kung bakit niya ito ginawa.

He seems to be in a bad mood. Pagkatapos ng aking lunch kasama sila Mirage ay dumiretso na ako sa opisina para magtrabaho ulit, ngunit bigla na lang akong nawala sa focus dahil sa malakas na tunog ng pinto.

"What was that?" Gemma asked as she pushed her chair towards my place.

"No idea," bulong ko sa kanya dahil nakakatakot gumawa ng ingay. The whole place was utterly quiet.

Maya't maya pa ay lumabas si Cierra galing sa loob ng office ni Sir Rico. Cierra is a staff in the company and she's been here for over a year now. Kumaway naman si Gemma kay Cierra at pinalapit ito sa aming pwesto. Walang sinayang na oras si Cierra at agad pumunta kung nasaan kaming dalawa ni Gemma.

"Bakit mukhang bad mood si Sir Rico?" Gemma asked and I'm all ears. Umupo naman si Cierra sa tabi ko bago magsalita.

"He just came back from the meeting with the new CEO." Panimula nito.

"And?"

"And the CEO instructed to revise the whole report," Cierra exclaimed.

"Why? Marami bang mali?" Tanong ni Gemma. Tumingin naman ako kay Cierra na ngayon ay parang hindi na rin makapaniwala sa kanyang narinig sa loob ng office ni Sir Rico.

"Matatanggap ko pa sana kung maraming mali. But he wants to revise the whole report because he noticed the missing period in a sentence!" Our jaw literally fell on the floor because of the reason Cierra just told us.

"Is that for real?" I can't believe it! That's absurd.

"He doesn't want to read a report with a punctuation error as per Sir Rico said." I almost burst into laughter. Kahit si Gemma ay mukhang hindi na rin matanggap ang naging rason ng bagong CEO.

"I don't know if he's just being a perfectionist or a jerk. Either way, it only means that we got to work overtime later." Cierra clenched her fist. I shake my head. Gemma looked like she hadn't absorbed anything yet.

"Oh my god! I didn't know that a good-looking face like him lies a devil beneath." There's a disappointment in Gemma's voice. Gemma tsked before returning to her table.

"This is why you shouldn't trust good looking guys." I commented and turn to my working paper. Parang kanina lang naikwento ni Gemma kung gaano kahitsura ang bagong CEO pero ngayon ay mukhang nagbago na ang isip niya. I can't blame her. Who is in the right mind to make the team revise a report just because of a punctuation error? Ang lakas naman magpower trip ng bagong CEO. He's more than a perfectionist. I just hope I don't meet him here in the company.

Tama nga ang sinabi ni Cierra. After thirty minutes, Sir Rico went outside his office and faced us telling the update regarding his meeting with the CEO. Nasabi rin niya na kailangan namin magovertime dahil kailangan na rin ang report mamaya.

Because of a single punctuation error, we did a lot of work. Dahil sa sobrang busy sa revision ay hindi ko namalayan na kanina pa pala may tumatawag sa akin. It's already eight in the evening when I hold my phone. Doon ko nakitang may apat na missed call na pala sa akin si Hiro. Oh right! I agreed to have dinner with him! Dahil sa revision na 'yan ay parang nawala na sa isip ko ang plano namin dalawa.
