Chapter 18

Laure Ri Daza's Point of View

No one was allowed to sleep past eight in the morning in the Daza's household.

What happened last night was still vivid inside my head. After Hiro and I hung out in his car, he left at eleven.

I was actually thinking if I can sneak him inside the house and let him sleep in my bed. He told me that as much as he wanted to stay, he also needed to leave. And that he's not thinking of spending the night in respect with my parents.

I crawled in my bed past eleven in the evening while staring at the ring on my finger.

Now I wonder who will visit this household early in the morning.

"Creed," I whispered in the air. Creed is sitting in our sofa comfortably. He was sipping coffee while talking with my father. Sabay naman silang tumingin sa akin. He caught me off guard. But of course! We're living across with each other. Anything is possible.

"Gising ka na pala, Laure." Creed greeted me with a smile.

Creed looked like the moment he got out from his bath, he went straight here in our house. His hair is brushed upward and his wearing a statement hoodie and a blue jeans.

My mother is already wearing her teacher uniform as well as my little brother who's silently eating his breakfast while reading a thick book besides his plate.

"Thank you po Tita. I'm sorry I couldn't come here yesterday to personally greet you a happy birthday." Creed voice is lively or maybe he's just trying to make his voice as lively as possible. I just stared at how my parents showered Creed with hospitality.

"Ayos lang 'yon. Natanggap ko rin pala ang regalo. Thank you for that wonderful gift, Creed." Mom said and sat down on my father's side. Creed gets the sandwich and take a big bite. I was so lost in my thoughts until mom called my name.
