It was a Sunday morning and Louise was doing housework. It had been a busy week at work and she finally had a day off.
She was playing music on her record player whilst she worked. Fortnight by Taylor Swift blasted through her apartment and she did the laundry. Her and Brendon hadn't seen each other all week. They had texted constantly though. He was coming over this afternoon, and they were going out. It was a beautiful sunny day. Perfect picnic weather.
After finishing her chores, Louise went to get ready. Showering, and coming into her bedroom, Louise decided to wear a dress. It was yellow with flowers and embroidered sunflowers. It gave her Evermore vibes.
Louise did her hair into a plait and a minimum of make up. She put sandals on and grabbed her bag.
There was a knock at the door and she answered. There Brendon stood, looking handsome as ever in a black button up and black skinny jeans. He also had black converse on.
"Hi. Wow you look so pretty" Brendon said. His eyes widening as he took in Louise's appearance.
"Thank you Bren", she replied.
"Ready to go?" He asked.
"Sure". Louise stepped out of her apartment and locked the door. They began to walk to Brendons car. Brendon placed a hand on the small of Louise's back as they chatted. Louise felt goosebumps from that touch alone.
Brendon opened the passenger side door for Louise and she got into the car. Brendon closed the door and went around to the drivers side. He got in and started the car. The radio came on and Fortnight was on. Louise laughed to herself, thinking the song was following her today. As they drove, they chatted and joked.

"I have missed seeing you this week, Louise". Brendon looked over at her. He placed a hand on her thigh and smiled.
"Me too" and Louise looked into his eyes.
They had arrived at the park. Brendon opened Louise's door and she got out of the car. Again, there was a pause as they looked into each others eyes. Louise so wanted to kiss Brendon right now. She didn't want to cross a line though. She thought that he may not feel the same way. His actions told her different. Louise smiled and caressed Brendons cheek. She then started to sing Nine in the afternoon, quietly. Brendon laughed and went to get the picnic basket from the trunk. Brendon took Louise's hand as they walked into the park to find a nice picnic spot. Seeing a beautiful oak tree, Louise suggested there and they walked over. They both laid out the picnic and sat down on the lovely blue blanket.
Louise sighed and took in the view of children playing and dog walkers. Brendon looked at her.
"Are you OK?" He asked.
"I am feeling wonderful" she said. Louise felt so at peace in this moment, with Brendon. Brendon took her hand and kissed it. Louise looked at him. She realised that the feeling she had, from the moment they met, was love. Louise had never believed in love at first sight. But now........
