TRIGGER WARNING. MENTIONS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Louise slowly opened her eyes. She could hear the beep of the heart monitor. Turning her head to the left she could see multiple IVs in her arm. Louise noticed her mother was there, and so was Grace.
"Hi" Louise managed to croak out.
"Grace get the,Dr!" Mrs Wenno said. Grace rushed out the room. Mrs Wenno stood up and stroked Louise's head. She smiled as tears fell down her cheeks.
"You are safe now". The Dr entered the room and asked Grace and Mrs Wenno to leave, whilst she examined Louise.
"Hi Louise. My name is Dr Gray. You have suffered substantial injuries. We had to perform emergency surgery on your brain and liver. You have some broken ribs and a broken arm too. I am just going to perform some basic tests, to see how your brain function is." Dr Gray then did her examination. Afterwards Louise fell back to sleep.
2 weeks after the attack Louise was discharged from hospital and stayed with her mother. Xena was there too. Luckily she had managed to escape Karl via the cat flap. Karl was arrested and charged with attempted murder, assault and battery. He was bailed and a restraining order put in place, so that he couldn't go anywhere near Louise.
Louise decided that she needed a clean break, from this city. As soon as she felt well enough, Louise looked into moving to LA. Securing a job at the clothing store, her mother helped with the deposit on an apartment. Grace said she would stay with Louise for a little while. This would end up being a permanent stay in LA for Grace. She got a job working at one of the film studios as a PA. She also got her own apartment, not far from Louise. One evening they went to a bar and met Katie and Annie. The 4 have been firm friends since.

"So what happened to Karl?" Brendon asked.
"He did a year in prison and is out on parole now. He still has the restraining order against him, so if he comes near me, he goes straight back to prison. He then does the rest of his sentence."
"I see." Brendon nodded. He kissed Louise on the fore head and held her tight. He couldn't bear the thought of anyone hurting Louise."I will always be here to protect you. " Brendon said. He looked at Louise and kissed her deeply. Louise sighed as they came out of the kiss and snuggled against Brendons chest.
"I love you" She said.
"I love you too" Brendon replied.
