Karl was pacing now and panicking. He hadn't bet on the police turning up. Louise sighed with a little bit of relief, to hear the police. She closed her eyes and thought of Brendon.
Brendon, Peter Patrick and Mike, pulled up outside the house. There was police tape set up and news crews were already there. As soon as Brendon got out of Petes car he was surrounded by news reporters wanting a sound byte about the situation. Brendon just walked away. All he could think about was Louise. He went to go under the police tape, when a cop in uniform stopped him.
"It's my house" He explained. "That man has got the woman I love in there!" The cop that was trying to negotiate with Karl, stepped up to Brendon. He said to come through. All 4 guys did so. The lieutenant who was in charge, spoke to Brendon about the layout of the house, where was good to access. How many were in the house. Brendon answered all the questions. He just wanted Louise safe in his arms. Another piercing scream was heard from the house.
"LOUISE!" Brendon yelled and he tried to push through the cops, to get to the house. Luckily he was stopped by Pete and Mike. "I can't lose her guys" He started crying.
"We know" Mike said holding onto Brendon in a comforting way. As the police went to decide on a plan of action, a gunshot rang out.
"OMG!! LOUISE!" Brendon was now pacing frantically. It was then that the front door opened and someone stepped out.
