So, I think the notification problem is not going to get resolved so here's a simple solution. I am going to fix the time at which I will update regularly so that you all can simply open your Wattpad at that particular time. That should help a bit, right?

So here's the updating schedule:
1. Midnight (obviously)
2. 9:30 am IST
3. 12 pm IST
4. 3 pm IST
5. 6 pm IST

(These times may fluctuate by a few minutes here and there but other than that, I am fixing this schedule.)

IRENE

It was my wedding day.

I thought it might be a church wedding or something more fancy instead, it was held in their garden after sunset.

Kian didn't want anything fancy, he just wanted to get over with it.

I had no problem either, plus, their garden was beautiful, the last time I was there, I loved it.

Kian's family was a big one and since he was the only one who was single, others already had partners and kids.

Five years back, I met Alamea and I liked her so I was glad to have someone I already knew.

She introduced me to Lenore, who was Armano's younger sister and other cousins of Kian and to Kian's two elder sisters, Celestine and Ada.

All of them were sweet to me making me feel at ease.

And they all helped me get ready in one of the guest bedrooms in the mansion.

Lenore and Ada did my makeup and on my request, they did a nude one.

Later they all helped me get into the wedding dress which was a simple white dress with a sweetheart neckline, thin straps and an A-line skirt that went down to my ankles.

In the end, they put on the veil, covering my face.

"Ta-da!" Ada exclaimed, smiling at me.

"You look pretty", Alamea complimented.

"Thanks", I mumbled.

"Yeah, Kian better compliment you or I will kick his ass." Celestine brushed the front of the dress.

I doubt that but I didn't say anything.

Soon, it was time for the ceremony and Dad came to fetch me and others left the room to let us have a moment.

"You are no less than anyone." Dad cupped my face gently. "Don't let anyone make you feel inferior, not even Kian. You are stronger than you think."

Tears welled in my eyes and I nodded.

Dad smiled at me and kissed my forehead over the veil before taking my hand in his and leading me out to the garden where my future husband waited.

Dad walked me down to where Kian stood against a backdrop of peach and white flowers in a black tuxedo, a blank look on his face as he watched me.

His male cousins stood near him while the female ones stood on the other side.
