Rajveer's POV~
I had just stepped out of the meeting room, feeling a bit upset as Aradhana had sent me a text saying she'd be busy due to some important meetings at her office the whole day and might even be busy the next day and may not be able to call or meet me.
Just then Harshad, my aunt's son aka our company's manager clumsily made his way to me with three bouquets in his hand, struggling to balance all of them.
"Yeh...kya hai Harshad? Phoolon ki dukaan dene ka soch raha hai kya?" (What is this Harshad? Are you thinking of opening a flower shop?) I asked him, trying not to laugh.
"Shaadi aapki ho rahi hai, aur band meri baji hui hai bhaiya." (You're the one getting married but I'm the one suffering.) Harshad said while handing me the bouquets one at a time.
"Are these...for---me?" I asked, raising my eyebrows with suspicion, and Harshad excitedly nodded as a reply to my question with a wide grin on his face and said, "Aradhana bhabhi ne bhijwaye hai yeh bouquets" (Aradhana bhabhi has sent these bouquets.), and saying that, he turned around to go the other way.
"How am I supposed to take these to my cabin all by myself?" I asked, while trying not to drop the bouquets.
"Hahaha, good question bhaiya, but aapke bouquets hai, aap jaane, mei chala, bye."
(Hahaha, good question bhaiya, but those bouquets are yours, you'd know, I'm leaving, bye.) and with that he left me standing in the middle of my office with three bouquets in my hands, looking like a walking flower shop, and smiling like a complete idiot.Aradhana's POV~
"Thank you so much for getting those bouquets to him Harshad." I said on the phone, talking to Rajveer's younger cousin brother.
"No problem bhabhi, aur koi help chahiye hogi toh I'll be more than happy to help. Accha ok bhabhi, bye." (No problem bhabhi, if you need any help then I'll be more than happy to help. Okay bhabhi bye.) Harshad said, ending the call.
It wasn't a complete lie that I'd be busy the whole day, but it wasn't just because of the meetings at my office, but because it's Rajveer's birthday in two days and I wanted to do something special for him.
I have a whole party to arrange and that to all on my own, as Dhruv and Megha hadn't yet returned.
I got some help from Harshad but it definitely wasn't enough. I had a lot of things planned for Rajveer and not even half of it was done.
When I had got to my cabin my assistant Kavya was already there making calls to my clients just as I had instructed her.
"Ma'am, luckily almost all the clients have agreed to either postpone the meetings or do it today. Except..." Kavya said as I took my seat.
"Let me guess, except Mr.Shergill.", I finished Kavya's sentence to which she just nodded.
Taking a sip of my coffee I added, "Don't worry about him, I didn't want to attend his meeting anyway, Dad can handle him...and thanks for your help Kavya."
I called my dad and asked him to handle Mr.Shergill's meeting to which he agreed and just when the call had ended with my dad, I got a call from Rajveer.
I took a deep breath before answering the call, knowing that even if there is a hint of nervousness in my voice it wouldn't take Rajveer long to figure out I was onto something.
"I got the flowers, they're really beautiful... just like you." Rajveer said, as I answered the call.
"You like them?" I asked.
"Mmhm...love them!" he replied.
There was a moment of silence before he broke it saying, "So... you're gonna be busy today?"
"Mhm..." I replied, trying to sound as calm as possible, and added, "Don't miss me too much okay?"
"Tsk.Hard job." he said with a dramatic sigh.
And there I was sitting in the cabin of my office smiling like a complete fool.
"Okay okay, you can miss me a bit...now gotta go, I'll call you after like 7 hours." I said as Kavya, peeked in through my cabin's door telling me that the clients had arrived.
I could hear a long sigh from Rajveer, which made me just want to go meet him right then.

The next day~
Aradhana's POV~
Around eleven in the morning I went to the bakery where I had placed an order for Rajveer's birthday cake, to pick it up.
I was just coming out when I accidentally bumped into someone and almost dropped the cake before the guy I had just bumped into, caught it.
"Woah---Careful!", I heard in a familiar voice.
"Abhikshit?!" I questioned.
"Hey... Aradhana...tum yahan?" Abhikshit said, carefully handing me back the cake, I was about to say something, but was cut short when he said, "Rajveer said you were busy, he was getting bored so we're here to get coffee."
Realising what Abhikshit said, I was dumbstruck for a moment.
"We? As in Rajveer is with you?!" I asked in panic.
"Y--yeah he's parking the car...why do you seem so nervous?" he asked.
"Marr gyi" I said mentally facepalming myself.
The look of confusion was evident on Abhi's face, so i explained everything to him.
"Oh my god... you're in big trouble..." Abhi said looking around in disbelief with a smile on his face, but I saw his expression changing to a tensed one soon, as he added, "And... talking of the devil here he comes... Aradhana, go and hide somewhere, I'll distract him, and all the best."
I give him a quick nod with a smile, as I sneekily went and sat at a table at the corner of the cafe near the door, where I was sure I wouldn't be noticed.
Rajveer's POV~
I went into the cafe to find Abhikshit standing in the middle of the place, looking around anxiously.
"Abhi? Everything alright?" I asked him, hearing which he seemed to get startled.
He didn't say anything but just nodded. We went ahead and took a seat, I placed an order for us and throughout the whole time Abhi seemed distracted and was quiet the whole time, which was very much unlikely of him.
"Earth to Abhikshit, hello?", I said, snapping my fingers in front of his eyes, which did work cause he was brought out of his bubble of thoughts.
"Huh---yeah you were saying something?", he questioned.
I saw him glancing towards the entrance of the café a few times, I was about to turn and see what is was, but he abruptly stopped me, turning me to face him again.
"Kya kar rhaa hai Abhi?!", I said, brushing his hand off of me.
"There's nothing to see there okay? And as for me I was just looking at the---", Abhi looked like he was trying to come up with an excuse.
"Looking at the 'what', Abhi?", I questioned him once again, repeating his own words.
