thirteen

things couldn't be any better now. devin and i are back together and happy again. it was only yesterday we got back together but im happy we worked things out. no matter what goes on between us, we always find a way to work it out.

I love him honestly. more than ever. I don't know what I'd do without him he's been there through lots of stuff. he's helped me. i love him. I know what you're thinking. 'you're only fourteen, you don't know what love is'. I may be fourteen but I do know stuff. I know what love is. I know what it feels
like to be loved. to be loved by that certain person. to know you'll never lose that person. to know he'll always be here.

devin and I just lay in bed, not really wanting to do anything. we just lay in bed and cuddle.

all of the sudden I groan in pain. shit. my period. I sigh and stand up. I rush to the bathroom and lock the door. I use the bathroom and look underneath the sink for tampon. I groan seeing I have one left. I quickly put that in and wash my hands. I unlock the door and walk over to devin smiling sweetly.

"hey, babe." I say. he groans.
"what do you want?"
"tampons?" he groans.
"what kind?"
"didn't matter to me." I smile.
"you're lucky I love you."
"I love you, devin."
"I love you too, princess." he smiles. he puts some on shoes and grabs his wallet. he kisses me bye and leaves.

see? I'm lucky to have him. most boys wouldn't do that.

once devin gets back he gives me the box and I put them away. we lay back in bed.

"hey, can we talk?" he asks. I bite my lip.
"sure." we sit up and face each other. he sighs and runs a hand through his hair. "is everything okay?" I ask.
"it is but I'm going on this thing called DigiTour."
"devin, that's great."
"I know but I womt be able to see you."
"I'm sure you'll get breaks, devin. everything will be fine. we can make us work." she smiles.
"I love you, hayden."
"I love you more, babe." he pulls me into a kiss. I smile and kiss him back.

after a few minutes, we pull away.
"I leave tonight.." I sigh.
"its okay, babe. just make sure you keep in contact with me." he nods.

for the next few hours, devin and I just hang out. we take several pictures together. we watch movies. we cuddle. all in all, I loved it.

I'm gonna miss him. there's no telling how long he'll be gone. there's no telling how long I have to go without seeing him. I hope its not long. I won't stand it if its long. I'll fly out to where he is if I have to.

I sigh as he says he has to go.
"I'll be back soon, babe. if not, you can always fly out to me." I nod.
"I love you, devin. have fun."
"I love you too, princess." we kiss and then he grabs his stuff and leaves.

I sigh and wave goodbye to him and his parents. I smile softly and go back into my room. this is gonna be torture. I can already tell.

its been a month since devins been gone on tour. we've facetime, called and texted several times. but he hasn't been able to come visit me. I understand though.

today is my birthday. the big fifteen for me. I sigh.

suddenly, my door is open and people start singing Happy birthday. I open my eyes and see my mom, grace and Ellie. I smile and sit up. I don't care what I look like. once they finish, I make a wish and blow the candles out.
"happy birthday, hayden." everyone says.
"thanks you guys." I smile.
"get dressed, come eat and then well head to your birthday present." I nod and get up as everyone leaves.

I shower fast and dry my blonde hair. I quickly straighten it and do my makeup. I bump my bangs and search for an outfit. I pull on my undergarments and short shorts. I search and see one of Devin's shirts. I smile and pull it on. I tuck it into my shorts and slip my vans on. I grab my phone and check it.

no messages from him. I frown but keep going downstairs.

"eat up, babe. we don't have long." mom says. I nod and we quickly eat.
"hayden, here's your present from me." Ellie says. I smile and open the box. a beautiful necklace sits in it. I turn it over and see it says E.
"what's this for?"
"so you know I'm always with you." I smile and hug her. after that, she outs it on me.

we pick up our messes and head to the car.
"get comfortable, guys. its a long drive." I sigh and decide to listen to music. I plug my headphones in and listen to some Ariana Grande.

half way through the trip, I fell asleep. I'm still asleep but I think the car is stopped. oh well.

"hayden, wake up." Ellie shakes me awake. I yawn and stretch. she smiles and I unbuckle my seat. I take my headphones out and check my messages.

still none from devin. I'm sorry but that does upset me..

I sigh and run a hand through my hair. I make sure not to mess up my bump.
"hey, hayden?" Ellie asks.
"what?" I mutter not looking up.
"happy birthday." and with that, she pulls my chin up. I gasp. devin stands there in front of a building with all the people on digi.

tears form in my eyes because I haven't seen him in so long. Ellie moves and I immediately get out of the car. I see devin running to me. I immediately run to him.

once I'm close enough, I jump on him. my legs wrapping around his waist and arms around his neck. I cry into his shoulder.
"shhh, babe. its okay." I nod and try to stop crying. but I can't. after a few minutes I do and get off devin. he smiles and wipes my cheeks. I smile and he bends down to kiss me. I kiss back but pull back after a few minutes.
"who's idea was this?" I ask devin and my family.
"graces." mom says. I see grace blush. I smile and hug her.
"thanks, sis." she hugs back.
"you're welcome, hayden." I smile and kiss her cheek. I walk back to devin.

"happy birthday, princess." I smile and kiss his cheek.
"you missed."
"nah. I hit my target." everyone laughs. I grin. "I missed you."
"I missed you too."

I smile.
"I have your present." he says. I raise an eyebrow. he pulls out box. I gasps. its a ring box. "im not proposing. its a promise ring." he says. I gasps seeing it. he takes my hand it slides it on my ring finger.
"its beautiful.." I whisper.
"its a promise that I'll always be here. a promise that I'll never leave. a promise that I'll protect you. a promise that one day, I will marry you." I grin at him.
"I love you." I say and reach up to kiss him. he smile into the kiss.
"I love you."
