" really?? you want to become a tattooist?" delilah raised her chin to look at jungkook who was already gazing at her.

" yea, and i'm only taking biology because its a graduation requirement." he answered as they roam through the fair festival side by side.

" let's go grab some food." delilah pointed at the food stand near them and took a hold of jungkook's hand, and ambled down there.

jungkook immediately intertwined their fingers and gave a few rubs to her knuckles. once they got their food, the pair sat by a table.

" how long will you stay here?" jungkook asked delilah.

" till my student visa expires."

jungkook started to bounce up his knee, " how many years?"

" 5, but i'll figure something out before it expires. i mean, i like it here."

" what about your parents?"

"yea, they'll get over it," delilah said with a nonchalant shrug, taking another bite of her korean corn dog. "besides, new york wasn't really doing it for me anymore."

jungkook couldn't tear his gaze from her. the way she spoke, - it was all incredibly captivating.
"so, you like it here in seoul?" he asked, his voice a low murmur.

delilah met his gaze, a smile gracing her lips. "i do, really do," she replied, her voice warm and genuine.

"it's always been a dream of mine. thats why i spent the last two years studying korean."

"why didn't you speak it when we first met in the study room, huh?" jungkook asked, his mouth slowly forming in a pout.

"because your english was cute," delilah teased. "and i wanted to hear more of it."

jungkook's cheeks flushed a light pink. he pouted playfully, a sheepish grin tugging at the corners of his lips.

delilah tilted her head and fixed him with a playful stare. "did you really want me to leave the study room that day?"

she finished up with her food and tossed the wrapper in the trash. she stood up, ready to continue their walk.

jungkook flinched under her gaze. he mumbled a barely audible response, avoiding eye contact as he fumbled with the wrapper of his now-empty corn dog. "i, uh..."

delilah's brow arched inquisitively, and she took a playful step forward, effectively stopping him in his tracks. "come on, bunny boy," her voice soft yet firm. "answer me, hm?"

the nickname sent another blush creeping up jungkook's neck. he met her gaze for a fleeting moment-dude folded.

"n-no," he stammered, "actually, if you did leave..." he paused. taking a deep breath, he blurted out, "i would've, uh, come up with excuses for you to stay."

before delilah could respond, jungkook surprised her by gently grasping her hand. he nibbled on his lip ring and pulled her towards one of the game stands

" i wanna win one of those for you." he points to the huge kuromi plush.

" you're good at archery?" delilah asked.

jungkook nod his head and paid the middle aged man so he could play.

i'm good in everything, baby doll.

the man handed jungkook five arrows and he hefted one in his hand. taking a deep breath, he zoned in on the target, with a laser focus, he let the first arrow fly. it sliced through the air, finding its home in the dead center of the bullseye.

jungkook could feel delilah gaze on him and he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride coursed through him. he then released the next arrow, then another, each one landing in the center.

" waa thats impressive!" the man cheered, gaining a small crowd who gathered around them. he carefully unhooked the giant and kuromi plushie and presented it to jungkook.

jungkook, oblivious to the growing crowd now circling them, turned to delilah. ignoring the barrage of curious stares, he held out the giant kuromi plushie to her. " like i promised." his tone switching to a deeper one.

delilah reached out, her fingers brushing his as she accepted the plush. before jungkook could react, she leaned in and kissed his cheek as a thank you.

a collective gasp rippled through the crowd, realizing who the young man was.

' isn't that the chairman's son?'

'whoa, is that his girlfriend?'

' wow, she's very pretty...but tattoos?? isn't that inappropriate?'

jungkook flinched at the comments, especially the ones about tattoos. he understood now why he kept his own hidden - the constant scrutiny and judgment.
