delilah's eyes glazed over as she shut her books after her study session. her brain felt like mush after five hours of relentless information absorption.

throwing herself back onto the bed, she let out a long, weary sigh. she reached for the giant plush toy jungkook had won for her and closed her eyes for a moment, savoring the comfort of its soft embrace.

her phone rang, startling her from her brief reprieve. she reached for her phone and saw the familiar caller id: 'sohee🪻💕.'

"hey, girly! what's up?"

"hii! are you busy? i'm heading to get my nails done and i want you to come with me."

"sure, babes. i can meet you there."

"yeah, that works for me. see you soon!"

"drive safe, beauty."

"thanks, babes, you too!"

delilah slipped on her shoes, grabbed her wallet, and fished her car keys from her bag, feeling a surge of excitement at the thought of a fun outing with her best friend.

she walked out of her apartment and into the garage, the familiar sound of her car engine filling the air as she drove off to the nail salon to meet up with sohee. when she arrived, she spotted sohee already stepping out of her car.

sohee ran up to delilah, enveloping her in a warm hug. "hi, beauty! omg, you look so pretty!" she exclaimed, her smile radiant as she planted a kiss on delilah's cheek.

"thanks, babes!" delilah giggled, returning the embrace. "i'd say the same about you."

 meanwhile, from across the street, jungkook finished finalizing everything for his new studio, JJK's CANVAS, his tattoo studio. as he was shutting the double glass doors with his keys, he spotted delilah with her friend by the nail salon.

"shit," jungkook cursed under his breath, and an idea popped in his head.

he noticed a flower shop nearby and hurried over to make a purchase. his focus solely was on delilah that he didn't even notice the car that honked at him, mere inches from his face; as the driver narrowly avoided hitting him.

that didn't stop jungkook from reaching delilah.
"delilah, baby!" he called out.

she turned around to face jungkook, her friend's chatter dying down as she noticed the commotion. sohee covered her mouth with her hands with wide eyes.
" here, baby. these are for you."

delilah's eyes lingered on the flowers before returning to jungkook's face, her expression softening. as they stood there, the sounds of the street fading into the background, jungkook felt his heart pounding in his chest.

" sweetheart," jungkook whispered as he step close to delilah. he wrapped his hand around her bare waist, his fingers splayed across the small of her back, while holding out the bouquet with his other hand.

jungkook's doe eyes sparkled as they locked onto hers. "i'm so sorry," he murmured, his voice heavy with regret. "i allowed mingyu to come between us and i didn't realize how much i've hurt you."

a soft sigh escaped delilah's lips as her fingers brushed against jungkook's cheek. a tender smile, the first one to truly reach her eyes since their fight, curved her lips. " don't scare me like that, you almost got hit by a car." she gently said, her tone laced with concern.

jungkook leaned into her touch, chasing the warmth of her hand with his cheek. " i wanted to get close to you." he said "i've missed you."

taking the flowers from his grasp, delilah peck his mouth, her lips lingering for a moment. jungkook's eyes fluttered closed as delilah's lips touched his. he felt himself getting lost in the softness of her mouth, oh, how much he missed that.

sohee cleared her throat breaking the couple's moment. "sorry to interrupt, del, but we have an appointment." sohee gestured towards the nail salon.

delilah giggled, the sound pulling her away from jungkook's embrace. a playful pout formed on his lips. " lunch after you're done?"
he inquired.

delilah nod her head, cooing softly. she wrapped her arms around him in a quick hug. jungkook melted into her touch, burying his head in her hair for a moment.

" you look stunning, babe," he murmured. he cupped her chin gently, his thumb brushing against her soft cheek. he softly gave a sweet kiss.

jungkook's smile softened as delilah kissed his cheek. " see you soon, hm?" he asked, nuzzling his nose with hers. " kk" she said and went in for another kiss but sohee dragged her away leaving jungkook with a chuckle and a lingering warmth on his cheek.

sohee nudged delilah playfully as they settled into the chairs at the salon. " i've never seen you like that."

delilah playfully rolled her eyes, " you'll only see me like that with him and only him."
