as they walked into the restaurant, jungkook and delilah's hands were still intertwined, a symbol of their affection. "let's grab that private booth in the back, babe," delilah suggested, pulling her boyfriend in the direction she wanted to go.

once they were seated, jungkook immediately pulled delilah's body close to his, showering her face with kisses. delilah squealed and hide her face in his chest.
"fuck, i've missed you so much," jungkook whispered as he let out a deep sigh.
"i've missed you too, love." delilah replied, pecking him on the lips.

delilah's eyes met jungkook's as she spoke, her voice tinged with concern. "what happened the other night? you came to me all bruised up, and when i tried to help you, you pushed me away. what was going on?"
as she spoke, delilah's fingers traced the intricate letters on jungkook's necklace.

"i got into a fight with my father about dating you, and he used the camera at your work to spy on us," jungkook said

"he slapped me, saying i was ruining his and my reputation, and then he had the nerve to ask what I knew about love. he was right, of course -i didn't know anything about love back then, not like i do now. but what really hurt was that on the same night, i made a mistake that broke your heart. i accused you of something you didn't do, and i'm still ashamed of how i treated you."

delilah reached out and gently brushed a strand of hair out of his face, her touch displaying tender and warmth.
" did you got into fight with mingyu at the bar or something?" she asked receiving a nod from jungkook.

" i got to the bar and he was already there," jungkook said threading a hand through his hair. " i didn't want to deal with him, especially after the fight with my father. i just wanted to drink and calm down. but he came over and started shit with me. saying you didn't care about me and that i was just a pawn in your game. he said you used me to get back at your ex, and that you only fell in love with me because you were still hung up on someone else."

delilah eyes narrowed, her lips curling into subtle smile. " son of a bitch," she muttered.

" and then he brought up the night we went to the fair. he said you texted him that night." he added.

"i did what now?" she raised her brow.

"baby, i swear, i don't even have his number, let alone his social media accounts. i'm not exactly going to go out of my way to stay in touch with someone who's trying to ruin our relationship." delilah cupped jungkook's face in her hands.

" i'm sorry, babe." jungkook said as he
leaned into her touch.

" listen, bun, i need you to communicate with me when things like this happen. you can't go around believing what someone said without confirming it with me first, my love. i'm not using you to get back at ex. shit, i even forgot about him. i care about you. i care about you a lot."

" mingyu was right about one thing, though—i am in love with you. that's the only truth he told you that night. as your girlfriend, it's my job to make sure you feel heard and understood when you're upset. i want to be the one you come to when you're feeling overwhelmed, not the one you hide from." delilah said in a soothing tone.

jungkook blinked, his gaze locking onto hers.

" i want you to trust me, babe." delilah caress the scar on his cheek.
" i want us to communicate openly, even when we're upset with each other."

jungkook's eyes welled up at her words as shame burned in his chest. he squeezed his eyes shut, picturing the hurt etched on delilah's face that night.

"i fucked up, baby." he opened his eyes, their usual sparkle dimmed by remorse. " i should have talked to you, explained everything. but i...i was too angry to do so, baby." his voice trailed off, his hand instinctively reaching to touch her cheek.

"i'm sorry, baby." jungkook leaned in, their foreheads touching. "so incredibly sorry hm?" his lips brushed against the tip of her nose, lingering there for a moment. " am i forgiven, sweetheart?" he pleaded.

delilah nodded, her eyes never leaving jungkook's as she leaned in to kiss him. he hummed in the kiss softly as his hands roam from her waist to her ass, groping the female.

jungkook parted delilah's lips with his teeth and rolled his tongue in. his tongue wandered around the inside of her mouth, leaving no space untouched. he felt her tongue meet his, intertwining as they danced together.

delilah, tug on a strand of his hair, urged jungkook closer. he responded instantly, his fingers dipping gently into the small of her back, anchoring himself to her warmth.

the kiss ended with a soft sigh, their eyes still locked in a sweet, lingering gaze. suddenly, a voice cleared its throat catching their attention. startled, the pair pulled apart, finally noticing the waiter standing awkwardly with a tablet in his hand.

"hey there, i'm hoseok, your waiter for this afternoon." hoseok greeted them with a friendly smile, placing two menus on the table.

jungkook, however, snagged one menu before it landed and scooted closer to delilah. "let's share one, sweetheart," he murmured, his voice warm. he leaned in slightly, and quickly peck her lips, circling his arm around her waist.

after placing their orders, jungkook's gaze lingered on delilah a moment too long. he then leaned in, a playful glint in his eyes. instead of bombarding her with kisses, he captured her lips in a single, sweet kiss. his hand snaked around her waist, pulling her closer in a warm embrace.

" there's something i'd love to show you after lunch." jungkook murmured, tugging some hair behind delilah's ear.

" okay, my love." she replied, a soft smile gracing her lips.
