One month later..
Training was going great, Lo'ak said that soon I could take a Ikran. Lo'ak even started complimenting me, and flirting. It was little weird not going to lie.
I had learned how to climb up some trees properly without getting hurt. My feet were getting stronger and I was running quicker. I was skilled in hand to hand combat now.
Lo'ak made sure I knew everything in Na'vi and in English. Jake started to plan an attack at the lab I was at.
Even the one day I played with the younger kids, who were curious about the new girl. Leyra's father even made her apologize to me.
Lo'ak said the other day that Kiri was going to teach me how to made my own clothes and jewelry. He said something that it was important for every teenager to become an adult.
"Hey Lo'ak." I asked one day. I wanted to ask him about the beads in his hair. I loved them and wanted some different colors for my long black hair.
"What's up?" He asked
"I uh, wanted to ask you about your beads in your hair." I said quietly.
"What about them?" He approached me.
"I was uhm wondering if we could get beads for my hair, diffrent colors. I asked.
"Sure! What colors do you want?" He asked.
"Purple, blue and yellow." I said. "Do you need help with it?"
"No actualLu, I think my mom has those colors, she can braid them into your hair." He motioned for me to follow him.
We walked into the Sully tent and Neytiri was sitting with Tuk talking to her. "Sa'nok." (Mother.)
"Yes Lo'ak?" She looks up.
"Do you have Blue, Purple, and yellow beads?" He asks.
"I believe so, why?"
"Sey'ean wants beads braided into her hair. Can you do that?" Lo'ak asks
"Sure, come sit by me let me get the beads." Neytiri gets up and I sit down, my back to her. Tuk climbs in my lap and starts talking, we got to know each other the second day I was here. She is so sweet.
Neytiri sits down. "I am going to do it on your right. The left side is reserved for your accomplishments and Ikimaya, when you are recognized as a adult of the clan. you can decorate it with beads wood feathers and such. This form I'm going to do is a basic form that everyone can do."
I nodded. Neytiri started braiding the beads into my hair. Tightly and quickly. About 10 minutes later, my hair was done. I thanked Neytiri and ran my hands through her hair. I loved it, Lo'ak walked out and I got ready for training. It would start in 20 minutes.
I was now running late for training, after changing my clothes, I quickly got my bow and ran out of the hut. "Sey'ean!" Lo'ak calls out.
"I know I'm late!" I call back, coming towards him.
"Put your bow away." He says
"Why?"
"We are going exploring today. Neteyam is going too." He says and mutters "surprisingly."
I nodded and went back to the tent, putting away the bow and walking back out. We started to walk towards Neteyam. "Are you actually going this time bro?" Lo'ak calls out as we approached him.
"Yes, I want to go for awhile, dad doesn't need me for a while." He replies
"Can we go to the battlefield area?" Lo'ak asks
"No dad would skin us." Neteyam replied.
"Please? Sey'ean has never been there." Lo'ak says
Neteyam sighs. "Fine."
Lo'ak grabs my hand. "Let's go!" We picked up the pace as we entered the woods, Neteyam trailing behide us. I looked around, a light breeze had my hair moving, my beads moving back and forth.
We walked past a old helicopter as Lo'ak goes up to check it out. I look at the helicopter the dark colors, with a white printed name on it. 'Trudy' it read.
I don't know who that is though. Lo'ak jumps down and we continue walking. "This is kinda cool." I mutter
"Yeah, but it's even cooler when we go to the old shack." Lo'ak says. Neteyam was now leading the small group.
"Do we have to go there?" Neteyam asks
Lo'ak gave me a look and then turned to Neteyam. "Yes, yes we do."
Neteyam rolled his eyes and looked at Lo'ak "Sey'ean has never seen it before!" Lo'ak adds
"So?"
"So, we have to go see it." Lo'ak replied. I laughed a little.
"Fine but after we have to go home." Neteyam replied back.
"Fine." Lo'ak rolled his eyes.
With Neteyam still leading the group, we went to the 'old shack.' We walked towards this building, the windows were blown out and it was crushed some.
Neteyam, Lo'ak and I went through the window and looked around. Vines and leafs inside, shattered glass. I looked around to see these beds with one crushed. A place where a human mask was supposed to be at was gone. There was blue and purple paint on the ground. It looks like war paint the warriors use.
"This is where my mother met my father in his human body for the first time ever." Neteyam came over. "We heard the story hundreds of times."
I smiled and looked at him. "I would love to hear the story sometime." Then something caught my eye as I went over, pictures were on a wall. Kiri's mother was in it with a bunch of Na'vi kids. She was smiling, and they were in front of stairs to a building. Kiri would love these pictures. I took them off of the wall and held onto them. We looked around for a little while before we started heading back home before the eclipse was coming onto us.
