I walked out of the tent with Neteyam and Lo'ak, We made our way to the breakfast area and kneeled down. "Hello." I turned around to see teenage girl Lo'ak and I's age.
"Hi."
"I am Unipey, future Tsahik." She said bowing her head.
"I am Sey'ean these are my friends Neteyam and Lo'ak." I motion next to me. "Would you like to sit?"
"No, Im here to escort you to see your grandmother." She said
"My grandmother?" I asked. She nodded my head.
"You didnt know she was alive?" Unipey asked.
"I guess I knew realized I still have family out there." I mumbled and quickly finished my food. I took one last drink of water before standing up. Neteyam and Lo'ak followed soon after.
"Are you guys ready to go?" Unipey asked.
"We are." I said. Unipey turned around and started to walk, as we followed. We walked past tents, other na'vi who bowed their head in sight of Turok Makto's children, we past classes of young hunters and elders. We walked past a river that was flowing fast. Children ran past us.
Unipey stopped outside of a tent, "Stay here." She said as she went in.
"Oel nagati kameie, Ar'kari." Unipey said
She started talking to someone, about things. She told this Ar'kari that there was someone outside that was waiting to see me. When Ar'kari asked who, Unipey told this person it was her grandaughter.
"Well what are you waiting for? Send the girl in!" The women said. Unipey emerged a moment later.
"You can go inside now. Ill be around the area. When you come out come find me." She started to walk away.
I walked towards the tent flap and took a shaky breath. "We dont have to do this. We can go home." Lo'ak said
"No. I-" I paused and looked at them. "I want to do this."
"We are behide you every step of the way." Neteyam said. I nodded and opened the flap and stepped inside.
An elder was in the middle by a fire making something. She looked up at me and smiled and slowly stood up. She came in front of me and studied me. A tear fell down her face as she cupped my face. "Tekre?"
"I go by Sey'ean now but yes it is me." I said she pulled me into a hug as I hugged back.
"Ive been waiting for this moment ever since you got taken." She said as we pulled out of the hug, she noticed Lo'ak and Neteyam. "Come, Come inside dont just stand there."
We came inside the tent more and we sat down. I sat down by my grandmother. "Look at you! You have grown up to a beautiful young lady! You look.." Grandmother paused. "Just like your mother."
I smiled. "Thank you."
Grandmother began talking about when I was a child, before I got taken. She went around the room grabbing things that used to be mine. Old clothing that I wore as a child, my old bed. Muy old toys. "And this was your favorite one." She handed me a small Toruk Makto toy carved out of wood. "You can take it if you would like."
I held it feeling the patterns over it. "Thank you, grandmother."
She sat back down. "I still have a lot of your mother and father's things. Things that she wanted to pass down to you."
"She had stuff she wanted to pass down to me?"
"Oh yes, she was excited to have a child of her own, they tried for years to have you. They were so happy." Sadness filled her voice. "Only for you to be taken by those sky people."
