Fireheart and Greystripe continue to drift apart, due to Greystripe breaking the warrior code to be with Silverstream. Fireheart went out hunting. He exited camp, and sniffed and listened for pray. His ears perked up as the sound of rustling echoed through them. Fireheart lowered himself and stalked closer to the unseen source of the noises. And just as he caught a glimpse of the "pray" he smelled a thunderclan cat instead: Greystripe. The grey cat looked back at him. "Stop following me!" He hissed. "I'm not, I was just trying to hunt" Fireheart meowed, slightly frustrated. "Yeah, whatever..." Greystripe held Firehearts emerald gaze before running off, in the opposite direction of the camp. Going to see Silverstream... he thought, as the tail of his old friend disappeared. Fireheart felt his emotions boil, his claws sheathed slightly. Greystripe shouldn't be with Silverstream, that's the only thing Fireheart thinks of. But what about the reason? Because it breaks the warrior code, but what if there's more to it than that? What about jealousy?...... he did feel more upset about Greystripe, rather than the cats loyalty to his clan... He stopped looking for pray, and stood there, lost in his thoughts. A deep feeling struck his heart, a feeling of spikes and... love? He tried to dismiss it, but he couldn't. He loves Greystripe, and also he doesn't want him to get in trouble with Bluestar. He lightly padded around the woods, in search for pray once more, his tail low. He heard a sound, this time pray scent lured Fireheart closer. He walked smoothly making no sound, his belly against the cold ground.... then he leaped in the air, and caught the scrawny mouse in his gripe. He thought of Silverstream as he sunk his teeth into the small creature. Though it was already dead, Fireheart continued to keep his jaw locked as viciously tight as he could, as if it were going to become alive once more and run off. Firehearts eyes blazed with fire, he made his way back to camp. He looked like a stripeless tiger by the steps he took. He entered, and let the pray fall from off his sharp teeth onto the freshkill pile. And he sat, his tail lashing back and fourth until suddenly he was overwhelmed by sorrow. Oh Greystripe.... The sad cat thought. "Whats got you looking so down?" Sandstorm meowed, noticing Firehearts unhappy face. She earned a menacing green glare from him. "I don't want to talk about it, could you let me be alone for a while?..." Fireheart requested, his voice sounding quiet. Sandstorm back away, respecting his boundaries and padded off. A familiar grey cat step his paw into camp again, a magpie hanging from his mouth as he approached the pile of freshkill and dropped it there. "Greystripe..." Fireheart barley brought himself to speak. His friend ignored him. "Please.." he continued desperately trying to get his attention. It only made him feel sadder, as Greystripe turned and left. Fireheart sat there alone. He really doesn't care about me anymore... The fire coated warrior thought. Fireheart doesn't even care that much that he is with Silverstream, he's mostly disappointed by Greystripes hatred. His face started to fade red, trying to process his feelings. Greystripe. That's the first clan cat that he ever met, the one who's always been by his side helping him. His heart began to ach, with a unrequited love. His paws prickled at the realization Greystripe would always love Silverstream. He turned his gaze to the warriors den. Mabye some sleep ought to sort him out.
