Chapter 10

A couple hours after Amy and Tails saved me from Knuckles, Tails was scanning me for anymore forms or negative Chaos Energy. Amy and Knuckles were playing Uno. "Well, I wouldn't jump to any conclusions, but it seems like any and all signs of the forms you had are gone. Bam. Just like that." assumed Tails. "Well, it's thanks to you, Tails." I said, leaping down. "Hey Sonic! Wanna play Uno? The second round's starting, and you're missing the action!" offered Knuckles. "You know me and missing action! Don't start without me or I'll hunt you down and rat you out!" I said. I rushed to the table and began to play. "SONIC WHY DID YOU PUT DOWN THE PLUS FOUR?!? WHYYYYYYYYYY!?!" asked Knuckles. I laughed in response. "Hey next round I get to play!" said Tails. "Heheh, game on bud!" I challenged. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" shouted Knuckles in annoyance as I laughed again.

Yeah, life was pretty good after my demon forms just up and vanished. I went on adventures as I normally do, rarely alone and mostly with friends. We went back to normal. Cream moved on from her mother's death. There was a burial for her. I wasn't allowed to go because I was the killer, whether it was my fault or not, which I was completely fine with. No more voices in my head, no more demons... Life was perfect.

Right?

Me and Tails were hanging out in his workshop. I was sitting on the couch and Tails was working on his gadgets. I was sleeping, to which Tails was happy cause I haven't slept since we went to the Starfall Islands, and that was months ago. The most scary thing to Tails was the fact that it was literal. I finally woke up and rubbed my eyes. "Hey sleepyhead, feel better?" asked Tails. "I feel like I could run 100 marathons," I answered. "That's the usual thing for you and your energy." said Tails. "How long was I asleep?" I asked, yawning. "A week." He answered. "Has Eggman attacked yet?" I asked. "Yeah, but me, Knuckles and Amy took care of him. Five badniks. Eggman isn't even trying anymore."

"Yeah, Eggidiot really needs to start making new robots," I agreed. "You can say that again." said Tails, getting out of his chair. "I'm going to get some chili dogs for you and me. Considering you've slept for a week, you must be starving." I nodded rapidly. "Yeah, it's also been a few months since I ate." I agreed. "I'm going to Amy's since I have no kitchen. Sure you'll be good here?" asked Tails. "Tails, I've been fighting a madman for sixteen years, I think I'll be good." I said. "Okay." He said, flying off.

I watched as he flew off. My eyes flashed blue spiral, dark red, and white. I grimaced. "A headache? Now?" I asked. Horrid laughter crossed my ears. "No...Not more..." I mumbled. "Allow me to introduce myself, I am Cyber, this is Darkspine and this is EYX, we are here to take.over.your.body..." whispered Cyber. Just then Tails reappeared. "I'm back! You okay, Sonic? Your ears are pinned back." noticed Tails. "I'm...okay, Tails." I answered, avoiding the word 'fine.'

"Okay. I got some chili dogs for you. Amy cooked a lot when I said that you haven't ate for months. I question how you haven't died yet." questioned Tails. "Fastest thing alive, I'm guessing. Or it could be the demons, one of the two." I guessed. "Alright. Let's dig in!" He said. Cyber kept tauntingly laughing at me.
